We take a look at some of the standouts that bowed out or simply played well as the playoffs started.

Eli Gilmore, Box Elder

When you look at players coming back in 5A, and you take a peek at Box Elder, you have to take notice of Gilmore. He is about 6'5 and could have an inch or two left to grow. He has the potential to pick up some of that scoring load, and he has the motor to be impactful as he is a rebounding-seeking forward. He nearly missed a double-doule in round 1 of the playoffs this year, but he is going to be a noteworthy prospect coming back in the Class of 2028.

[player_tooltip player_id='2539680' first='Zach' last='Hancock'], Fremont

Hancock was a player who went out with a bang. Not only did he have 20 points in his last game, but in his last three games, he was averaging over 20 points a game and nearly 10 rebounds a game as well. The 6'1 guard was leaving it all on the line with a mixture of drives and jumpers. Hancock ended his high school career impressively.

Cyrus Nielsen, Hillcrest

Hillcrest has a hidden gem that could potentially be a developmental player at the next level, who could turn into a rotation player. Nielsen is 6'6 and was just getting started when it came to what he could provide for his team. He is a hard-working rebounder, and he has good vision as he can find open players in the offense.

[player_tooltip player_id='1958276' first='Ian' last='McIntyre'], West Jordan

You could see that Payson made an effort to stop McIntyre, and he was still able to get his players good looks and take advantage of anything the defense was giving him. He is a player who has next-level talent.

[player_tooltip player_id='2782132' first='Nash' last='Jackson'], Maple Mountain

The 6'5 forward is a beast on the glass, and oftentimes he is either right at 10 rebounds a game or even more. Jackson has had games where he could be impactful simply by rebounding the ball. He had that Dennis Rodman in him at times.

Jack Galvan, Clearfield

Galvan is going to be a promising player coming back for Clearfield. He knows how to score and could have a big-time year this coming season. Galvan has a chance to make a run at being a 1,000-point scorer if he really picks things up. He had a great showing in the 1st Round.

Jaden Fowers, West Field

Fowers has major potential. He knows how to score the ball, and he has had moments this season where he looked like a clear, next-level prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id='2736469' first='Theo' last='Roach'], Northridge

Roach has had a stretch of unreal games, and he did not disappoint in his final game. The 6'4" big guard has a next-level skill set. He shoots the ball well and knows how to get to the rim. He is a gem in the Class of 2026.
