Here are the workers that really stood out to me from yesterday's Border Battle.

Griffin Booms of Heritage Christian (Sr). Booms was all over the court. Booms chased down 13 boards out-running everybody and pushed the ball the other way getting his team a number of fast break chances. Scored on half of his 14 field goal attempts scoring 21 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='1960892' first='Henry' last='Knutson'] of Maple Grove (Sr). Henry is the guy a team wants on the floor in the end of a close game: he defends, he makes the right passes, he moves well off the ball, he boards, and he makes open shots. A trusted veteran player that does what a team needs, and he had a double-double in the loss to Nicolet grabbing ten boards and scoring ten points.

[player_tooltip player_id='1560744' first='Evan' last='Miller'] of DeLaSalle (Sr). Evan was constantly in chase of the shooter that was hurting De, he made all six of his foul shots, scored three times actively at the cup. Miller works as hard defensively as anybody and he makes the right reads and plays on the offensive end. Fills his role really well.

Kamar Sandier-Howze of Minnehaha Academy (Soph). I loved the role Kamar played for his team screening, rim running, defending and boarding. Did a lot of the hard working things and did them in a tough way. Scored five times in the post and grabbed eight rebounds, impressive fifth starter type of role as an underclassmen that played well.

[player_tooltip player_id='2395603' first='Barrett' last='Shaul'] of Breck (Sr). Barrett is a role player but he was one guy that a short handed Breck had that caught my attention. Shaul scored his double figure numbers rolling to the rim and cutting to the rim for Breck. He is a 6'5 forward with a lot of young players around so there were frustrating times but Shaul gave his team a good effort and I could see him playing for a UMAC program. Hit a three late that gave his team a chance as he scored 14 points for the game.
