Stepinac- Mount St Michael Stars Shine

But make no mistake the talent level from each team especially young talent is all over this league. Mount St Michael is right near the top with the young talent that we will see from the Mountaineers. On this night it was clearly evident. Both teams showed their talent level. Stepinac won the “AA” contest 78-62. Since we have done alot of report on the Stepinac players we will give you a short scout what we saw from their players in this game. Showed his ability to knock down threes from very deep range as well as ability to put the ball on the floor and also impact the game on the boards and blocking shots. His brother and future teammate at USC uses his length to post up creating space to score inside and also command the paint defensively. [player_tooltip player_id='1729832' first='Jasiah' last='Jervis'] as we have said before a perfect player coach fit with Michigan State. Jasiah can take over games on both ends of the floor. Just named the player of the year in the CHSAA and should be in my opinion the New York State Player of the year. The rich get richer for the playoffs with [player_tooltip player_id='2234114' first='Josh' last='Rivera'] the junior coming back from injury got the rust off in this game hitting smooth jump shots. He is a playmaker and short maker with good size to shoot over defenders. Explosive getting to the rim and flushing it in traffic over bigger players. Caught lob passes and slammed them. A creative shot maker. Sees the floor really well. Outstanding rebounder. Showed the ability to play in the post or the wing. He uses his strength and desire to win in defending the post or out on the perimeter. He can play inside or out. Extremely quick and athletic. In one set he showed a shot fake into a pull up and then later scored on a step through after a shot fake.
