Lately in MIAA the upper classmen have dominated the game but there are underclassmen ready to break out for the end of season and will be huge contributors next two years. I am doing a break down by grade of the players to know for the future. If you love high school basketball I go to 1-2 games a week, sometimes more and try to catch different teams each week. He can guard 1-5 in MIAA, working hard to force the ball handler laterally. He understands when to switch or stay with his man on screens. With his size he alters the pass and shots with his contests at the rim/close outs. Owen stretches the floor nicely with his jump shot off the catch and taking his player off the bounce getting to higher percentage shots. He tags players nicely going for rebounds. He gets downhill, especially coming off a screen action off the catch. Kacyn can knock them down from outside getting red hot and if not attacks the rim. He only played a few minutes against Foxboro but you can tell right away he will be special for Attleboro some day. He might not get all the accolades but he can score and rebound. Without question Jesiah defends at an exceptional level. He is quick like a cat and disrupting the opposing offense numerous times. He might set records at Attleboro for steals either in a game or season. Not sure what sport is his favorite but very athletic and could play at the next level.

First time seeing Weymouth and I was watching for a couple other players but Jack caught my eye with his effort and energy. Jack is strong with his lower half and gets to his spots. He led Weymouth with 17 points for a team high. I love the ways in which he scored with finese and bully ball. Jack scored in traffic, from deep (transition) and had a sweet "Kobe" baseline jumper. He was able to stay with small guards on the defense side plus had a good pick pocket that kept them in the game for a minute. He handles the ball nicely for someone who was mostly playing off the ball. A D3 prospect in college if he chooses.

Takes care of the ball on offense being a great facilitator. When Everett pressures the ball Adam plays like a free safety waiting to jump the ball and create transition offense. He got most of his points in transition. There are a few scorers on Everett ahead of him but look for this kids name in the stat sheets in the next two and a half years. He will most likely be a captain as he starts as a sophomore.

A great addition and spark plug off the bench adding 10 points. Nate is a three level scorer, with his skillset. Nate's combination of footwork and IQ help to get him ready/prepared to get high percentage shots off. He plays through contact and plays off two feet in the paint. Nate's handles are also a nice attribute for him to be considered more of a combo guard later in his career. He will most likely be a starter next year for Everett or even during games this year. A projected D3 player in college if he continues to grow his skillset.

He is a big frame that Bridgewater-Raynham will need next year after two 6'5" seniors leave this year. A shot alterer when his hand goes up. I loved his close out to the wing and box out. He gets to the glass and gives his team second chances. If he continues his development he will be consider a D3 prospect in college.

He can score from deep in transition, make contested shots from anywhere on the court. He made some good tags in transition defense and loved the communication on defense. He had a couple of good rotations down in the zone defense. He is a dynamic slasher and rises above kids with his explosiveness. His baseline jumper was one of the toughest shots he made all game fading away while having a hand in his face.

I was impressed with him and how valuable he can be for English High. He had footwork that was intriguing for his size and grade. Rashaud can be a huge impact if he continues to grow his skillset over the next two years. If he concentrates and stays focused could be a 1000 point scorer someday. Most likely a starter next year and potential captain in a couple of years. Worth checking out if you love inner city basketball and you are a coach at the next level.
