Brito, a guard out of Boston English High School in Massachusetts, comes in at #28 among the point guards and #128 overall in this update. A 5’11” lefty, Brito had a standout sophomore campaign for Boston English, averaging over 23 points per game and almost 4 steals a game. He has the ability to whip passes all over the floor, does a great job of using screens to his advantage, and can really shoot the ball, particularly with range behind the arc. He plays with wiggle and speed and does a nice job of using his length as a finisher around the rim. On the other end, he creates steals at a high rate with his activity level and active hands.

Brito is electric. The 5-foot-11 lefty point-guard has incredible quickness with the ball in his hands and can score from all three levels. His game is predicated on his ability to make shots from the perimeter, but he really makes defender’s pay when they overplay his shot—he has big-time athleticism at the cup and makes good decisions in the paint. Defensively, he’s phenomenal in the passing lanes and has excellent hands. Brito averaged over 20ppg last season, and I expect another huge year from him, perhaps even a Boston City League MVP.

He can score from deep in transition, make contested shots from anywhere on the court. He made some good tags in transition defense and loved the communication on defense. He had a couple of good rotations down in the zone defense. He is a dynamic slasher and rises above kids with his explosiveness. His baseline jumper was one of the toughest shots he made all game fading away while having a hand in his face.
