I watched the replay of the Jan 29th match-up of 4A Combs Coyotes hosting the 4A Crismon Rattlers. Both teams are currently on the outside looking in for the playoffs and will have to finish strong to get in.

Combs ended up winning a tight one 71-66 in their region battle. Earlier in the season they lost 41-39 on the road to Crismon.

Here were some standouts

[player_tooltip player_id='3036775' first='Quinmetris' last='Cunningham'] Combs

An active power forward who rebounds at a high clip in and out of his area. He will score with pick and roll finishes with and-1 traffic takes and long striding finger rolls. He can also dunk the ball fairly easily and works best from mid-range and in. He finished with maybe a double-double in this game with points and rebounds.

[player_tooltip player_id='3469849' first='Jaimin' last='Amador'] Combs

A tough wing forward who is a two-way player for the Coyotes. He rebounds well in his area and brings that activity to defend a few positions. He will score with dribble drives to the basket, downhill takes and threes off the catch.

[player_tooltip player_id='3470016' first='Skyler' last='Lawrence'] Combs

One of the Coyotes top performers of the night did a little bit of everything. He scores with off the ball cuts using his stronger upper body, he plays off of two feet and will pull off a turn around fall away from mid-range and hit the three off the catch. He also directs a lot of the offense and sees plays developing with pick and roll dimes and up the court advance passes. He had close to a double-double with points and assists.

[player_tooltip player_id='3470211' first='Riggs' last='Holowell'] Combs

An undersized scoring guard or wing forward can play and defend multiple positions. He will score with downhill takes and loves using the euro step in traffic and will fall away off of his defender from mid-range. Lawrence and Holowell will get more opportunities next season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2674651' first='Charlie' last='Whitsell'] Crismon

An undersized point guard is a good passer with either hand with up the court ropes and moves the ball like you should. He has a deceptively quick first step to get past his initial defenders to score, he will ball fake into a floater and shoot it with mid-range pull-ups.

[player_tooltip player_id='1750762' first='Tanner' last='Bell'] Crismon

A decent sized wing forward has grown in the last couple years. I first watched him at Basha at maybe six-foot and he uses his size to score with offensive rebound put backs as he rebounds well in his area. He will also score with floaters, cuts off the ball for layups and high level mid-range pull-ups.

[player_tooltip player_id='2466701' first='Ezaar' last='Barrow'] Crismon

A power forward who grew maybe an inch is a fluid mover. He is a plus rebounder in and out of his area in heavy traffic with his length and size. He does some little things to help his team with blocking or altering shots and he is a sneaky good passer.

[player_tooltip player_id='2466409' first='Mason' last='Brown'] Crismon

Brown is a scoring point guard who probably leads them in scoring many nights. The lefty has a strap with a quicker trigger from the three point line and uses the runner game. He can collect a steal and outrace the entire team for a layup and he is a quick on-ball defender to collect steals.

I watched the replay of the Jan 29th match-up of 4A Combs Coyotes hosting the 4A Crismon Rattlers. Both teams are currently on the outside looking in for the playoffs and will have to finish strong to get in.
