[player_tooltip player_id='2682806' first='Ty' last='Benton'] had it going from the perimeter in South Putnam's 9-point loss to Greencastle in Game 1 semi-finals of the Putnam County Tournament. The 5'9” Junior Guard knocked down four 3's including two that started a run for the Eagles to get back into striking distance. He's a smooth guard that's capable of playing on or off the ball. Confident shooter off the catch while showing the ability to get in the lane and create for others.

This was my second time getting to see [player_tooltip player_id='1728674' first='Sam' last='Gooch'] play, and his athleticism really pops off the floor. Versatile player that lets the game come to him. Had a stretch to start the 3rd Quarter where he scored his team's first 9 points in the Tiger Cubs victory over South Putnam. His ability to score from all over the floor and his body control when driving and finishing at the rim makes him dangerous in the half court.

The most physically imposing post presence in Game 1 of the Putnam County Tournament, [player_tooltip player_id='3493151' first='Khalil' last='Jefferson'] was all over the floor impacting the game on both ends of the floor. His combination of speed, size and athleticism makes him a matchup nightmare for most teams, including in this game against Greencastle. Capable scorer on the low block. Heavy right hand driver that's still a bit raw, but his athleticism makes up for it.

The ultimate matchup nightmare in the Putnam County Tournament. The 6'10” Sophomore Center was dominant on both ends of the floor. Showcased his good hands and patience on his post ups. Heavy right hand finisher, but showed his ability to finish through contact. Didn't show much range on his jump shot but knocked down a couple jumpers including a turnaround over a triple team. Ultimate paint presence on the defensive end where North Putnam didn't even try him at the basket and when they did he ended up sending it away.

Despite a rough offensive night as a team, [player_tooltip player_id='3493157' first='Jayce' last='Monnett'] was able to get going a bit late in the game. Versatile guard that can play in or off the ball. Hes a confident shooter with a smooth stroke. Showed his playmaking ability. With the presence of Kiteka in the lane for Cloverdale, Monnett did a good job getting in the lane and not forcing shots, but finding teammates for open shots.

In the lane, he made the right reads leading to assists.

The lengthy Senior Wing out of Greencastle got going from the perimeter early one leading Greencastle to a hot shooting first half building a lead. He was a factor on the boards tying for a team lead in rebounds. At 6'3” he showed the ability to rip and run off the defensive glass pushing in transition.

The versatile senior off-guard impacted the game on both ends of the floor. He's a high IQ physical guard that has a knack for making the right play. Usually not a three-point threat, Sutherlin knocked down two 3's with confidence off the catch. He showed a clean, on balance stroke from the perimeter. He's a capable driver in the lane that scores at a high clip around the rim as well as showcasing nice court vision leading to buckets for teammates. He's a switchable defender that guarded all five positions that was also a big time rebounder.
