Here's a closer look at the top 2026 point guards making noise across NOVA.    The senior is averaging 15.7 points, 6.5 assists, and 5.0 rebounds for the 20-3 Pioneers and has been the engine behind one of the area's top teams. An athletic, scoring lead guard, he consistently fills the stat sheet and impacts the game in multiple ways. He has the versatility to shift seamlessly between distributor and scorer, reading the defense and taking what it gives him. With his quickness and ability to change speeds, he is difficult for defenders to stay in front of, regularly getting into the paint and creating advantages. Barnhart put together a tremendous senior campaign for the Rams, averaging 23 points and 6 assists per game while serving as the focal point of the offense. Burgdolf turned in a strong season for SSSAS, averaging 13.2 points and 4.5 assists per game while serving as a steady presence in the backcourt. The California (PA) commit plays with a high basketball IQ and a mature understanding of tempo, consistently making the right reads with the ball in his hands. He is a solid perimeter shot maker who can stretch the defense, and he changes speeds effectively to create separation off the dribble. With good quickness and poise as a primary decision maker, Burgdolf keeps the offense organized and balanced, blending scoring and playmaking in a way that should translate well to the next level.     Carson brings speed and toughness to the lead guard position for Bishop Ireton, setting the tone with his competitiveness and energy. A true floor general, he does a strong job creating opportunities for teammates and operates as a reliable decision maker in the half court. While he is not the primary scoring option, he is capable of knocking down open perimeter shots when defenses sag or over-help. His quickness, poise, and team-first approach make him a steady presence in the backcourt.
