[player_tooltip player_id='2439605' first='Josh' last='Dockum'] | Edmond Memorial

Dockum has had an efficient start to the month of February. His ability to shoot from beyond the arc has really taken off. The Bulldogs have won three of four with Dockum piling up the scoring numbers. He has been forcing teams to close out hard due to his strong shooting from outside. This month, he has shot just under 43% from the 3-point line. His greatest attribute is his ability to stay balanced as a mid-range, off the bounce jump shooter. The sophomore routinely reads the defense and stops under control with good elevation. His overall mentality is to attack closeouts and put pressure on paint defenders. When rotations are late or not there, he can also finish well around the basket.

[player_tooltip player_id='2439789' first='Treydon' last='Hankins'] | US Grant

The junior has had a strong stretch of performances in which he has affected games in many ways. At 6'3”, his ability to rebound has made a major impact on his team. Most recently, against Norman, Hankins grabbed eight rebounds to lead his team. Trey can use his length to shoot over defenders and has been utilizing a step back move off the dribble to create separation. Hankins has been finding teammates at a high level with some big-time assist outings. Against Norman, he had seven in total and showed the entire arsenal of passes. From wrap-around one-handed passes to length of the floor look-ahead throws, his vision was tremendous. The Generals utilize him most in pick and roll situations where they can trust him to play under control and read secondary defenders.

[player_tooltip player_id='2371288' first='Damarion' last='Jones'] | Midwest City

Jones has been playing with more confidence lately. The Bombers have won eight of their last nine as they look to close the regular season strong. Against Lawton, the junior scored 12 points in total. Damarion is an outstanding transition finisher and thrives when he can get out and run. He can finish with both hands and shows very good athleticism at just 5'10”. His ability to hang in the air and navigate by defenders has been something that we have seen a lot of lately. Not only is he an outstanding leaper, but Jones is also highly effective as a driver off the dribble. His first step is very quick, and he can turn corners and explode past defenders.

[player_tooltip player_id='2140795' first='TJ' last='Hooks'] | Catoosa

Hooks has had a very good season for Catoosa. The Indians are now 22-0 with a Tuesday night 42-point win over Wagoner. While this team is loaded with talent, Hooks has arguably been the most consistent. Against Wagoner, he provided 28 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal. When he is feeling confident, he has the entire arsenal on offense. He can shoot from the perimeter, finish around the rim and make the extra pass as a distributor. He hit five 3-pointers on Tuesday and was shooting the ball in rhythm. A big key for this team will be his ability to get fouled and convert at the stripe. Hooks has been getting the the free throw line a lot lately thanks to his aggressive play.

[player_tooltip player_id='2439780' first='Nicolas' last='Sant'Anna'] | Arnett

The junior has had an impressive streak going the last few weeks. Over his last six games, he is averaging 18 points and just over 7 rebounds per contest. At 6'6” the wing has provided problems for opposing defenders, helping to lead the Wildcats to a 5-1 record over that stretch. Sant'Anna has shot the ball well from long range, while continuing to show comfort in handling the ball. Nicolas can post up smaller defenders one play and take the ball coast to coast leading the fast break on another. He will need to continue to play well to give his team a chance to advance in district play.
