In past viewings of Hankins, his lead guards skills have often been his top attribute. The 405 guard can be an unselfish table setter. While in this recent game watched back, he was dialed in from three. It wasn’t just toe hugging the lines makes, he was letting it fly from a few steps beyond the high school line. Hitting multiple of them with ease. Point guards who can stretch the floor, then carve up the defense are always valuable at the next level.

Hankins was the man at the controls of the Generals’ win. Got downhill with the purpose of not only scoring himself, but getting paint touches and setting up his teammates. Played heads up, unselfish basketball. Impressed in the fourth when he correctly read the way the defense played a pick and roll. He whipped an one handed pass cross court to an open teammate for a 3 that put them up 10. Should continue to grow and thrive in his role as a table setter for his upstart team.

The young lead guard looked advanced in a Saturday afternoon win for this TTG Elite team. Hankins showed good playmaking and reading of the game on drives, by allowing the defense to overcommit and then firing good passes to open teammates. Those passes created good scoring opportunities around the rim, along with crosscourt kick outs to open shooters. More than just a passer that same feel on drives make him a scoring threat with runners and the occasional ability to finish through contact
