Wednesday night Franklin Road Academy (#3) took down Columbia Academy (#6) in an elimination game. All of these evaluations came from that game. Providence Christian Academy ended Franklin Christian's season, 72-54. A couple of the evaluations below are from that game.

2/11/26: Absolutely incredible first half. [player_tooltip player_id='2822320' first='Decari' last='Parks'] was the most dynamic player on the floor and simply did a bit of everything. In the fourth quarter Parks missed a lot of shots he made earlier, maybe tired legs. Maybe better defense. He proved to be exceptional with the dribble and found mature passing lanes. Parks did not turn the ball over despite playing with pace. This guy is the real deal. Reminds of a young [player_tooltip player_id='2133797' first='Bryson' last='Wade']. Parks fed the post at a very high level. Unlike most young guards who demonstrate a high level of selfishness Parks fed the big over and over. When I first evaluated him, I worried if he was a shooting guard in the body of a point guard, but that is not the case. He is an elite scorer with the ability and mental awareness to both distribute and score.

2/11/26: Not a good first half at all. Lucas made two free throws but missed all of his outside shots. He is known as a remarkable catch-and-shoot guy, and this was disappointing. Still, he was reliable as a ball-handler and did not turn the ball over. The one weakness he has, and might always have, is he is just smaller than the guys defending him. In the game's final two minutes FRA fought to hold on to their small lead. Every out-of-bounds play was designed to get the ball to their best free throw shooter Lucas. This was a wise move by FRA Head Coach

2/11/26: High energy guy. Malone is a wing. He is not shy about shooting the basketball. Malone can hit the outside shot, but he did airball a three-pointer in this game. Seconds later he dribbled end-to-end and drew a foul while shooting a layup. His effort and confidence were great. Wonderful endurance. Myers' confidence proved to be a detriment in the second half wherein he forced shots that did not need to be taken. His agility mid-air is better than average and the ability to get to dangerous areas is a plus. He must work on shot selection though.

2/11/26: Cooper was a handful for Franklin Road Academy. He is a throwback post player who thrives with his back to the basket. Cooper finishes almost always off of the backboard with a lofted left-handed layup. Long-term Cooper needs to either grow taller or develop more mid-range skills.

2/11/26: Darsinos' 3 was critical as it lifted FRA back to within four points. That three-pointer brought hosts FRA to down 24-20 after they trailed by 10 moments earlier. With that as a launchpad FRA finished the first half up 30-29. Spiro is a coach's dream. He defended CA's center and buried numerous jumpers, often challenged jumpers. For a very young FR team Spiro's poise and leadership are imperative. Spiro did everything a coach would do if given the chance to play just one more game. His basketball I.Q. knows no equal. Spiro took over the game when needed and again took difficult shots and made them over and over. Columbia Academy guarded him pretty well, but without success.

2/11/26: The biggest play of the first half for CA was a three-pointer and-1 by Zephyn. He is a little stiff for a wing but can really shoot the basketball. Some plyo training and lifting will help him develop into a real varsity threat next winter.

2/11/26: Exceptional young guard. He has a lot of Reid Conley in his game. TJ is quick but does not hurry. He frequently gets into the lane and finishes with agility. Duke will be a breakout name with BMaze 16u this upcoming summer. Just watch.
