We combed through each roster and identified players who had little — or no — varsity production a year ago, then elevated into major roles this season. From there, we leaned on the numbers, selecting the highest efficiency (EFF) mark on each squad among those breakout candidates.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"fontSize":"medium"} --> <p class="has-medium-font-size">But being a breakout player is about more than a stat jump.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"fontSize":"medium"} --> <p class="has-medium-font-size">It takes offseason work when nobody is watching. It takes patience to wait your turn. It takes confidence to step into a bigger role and produce when the lights are brighter and the matchups are tougher. Breakout players seize opportunity — whether that opportunity comes from added trust, roster changes, physical development, or simply putting it all together at the right time.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"fontSize":"medium"} --> <p class="has-medium-font-size">Some have boosted their scoring. Others have impacted the game across the board with rebounding, playmaking, and defensive presence.
