First up in my evaluations from this week's Wednesday Film Room is Nate Hagan. Hagan came off the bench and had a huge impact in Brashier Middle College's win over Blacksburg, putting up a game-high 14 points and being the only player in double-digits. He knocked down three threes in the win, one transition left-wing three, one heavily contested left-wing three, and one catch-and-shoot right-corner three. Nate was active without the ball on the perimeter, but also made a few nice cuts to the basket for easy lays.

Sami is an intriguing player for the Bengals who was also at his best off the ball. He knocked down a three on his team's first possession of the game, before later having a nice inside layup. Farhat contributed well on the defensive end with 2 blocks and 2 steals. His length is what makes him an interesting one to watch because it allows him to make plays defensively and shoot over contests offensively.

Farah is the future at Brashier Middle College. Despite being just a Sophomore, he is already one of their better players and was a guy they needed to have in the game late. Victor was their most consistent shot creator, plus he had a great balance of taking his own shots and setting up his teammates. He really stepped up in the second half, contributing with 4 points and 4 assists down the stretch to help seal the win. If there's anything for Farah to improve on, it's his handle, but I believe he will be a very good player down the road for the Bengals.

Switching over to the Blacksburg side of things, it wasn't the best night from Bonner, but there were still some good things to see with him. JD is the Wildcats' leading scorer so far this season, but he displayed an ability to positive affect the game even when his shots weren't falling. Bonner put up 6 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 5 steals despite the loss. His quickness and strong hands are what stood out the most, but look for JD to bounce back with a big scoring game next time out.

Rounding out the evaluations from Brashier vs Blacksburg on Friday is [player_tooltip player_id='2469699' first='Jonathan' last='Phillips']. Phillips was everywhere on the defensive end for the Wildcats, racking up 6 steals. He was very active in passing lanes and frequently turned those turnovers into points on the other end. Jonathan also collected a ton of rebounds, adding 6 rebounds and an ability to handle the ball himself after hauling in a board.
