The first time that many of them got to participate in the event, the underclassmen pulled their weight and put their best foot forward in the charity event. So their efforts helped make the event what it is. Here are five underclassmen who impressed:

Bromwell got things started against DMA with his tremendous effort on defense. The sophomore guard lit a fire under his team by forcing three turnovers in the first quarter with his activity on- and off-ball. That fueled the Spartans to a 15 point lead from which they never looked back. Bromwell chipped in a couple buckets for 5 points, but mainly led the charge on defense with his 7 steals.

Although the matchup versus Smyrna was dominated by wings/forwards, Coates made a mark on the game using his size and burst. The defense struggled to keep him out of the paint because all he needed was one dribble to be eye-level with the hoop. Even when it looked like they had Coates contained, he just bounded around them then laid the ball off the glass. As such, he totalled 14 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists.

[player_tooltip player_id='3335104' first='Jonny' last='Pechickjian'] | 6'1 G 2030 Sanford

The moment is never too big for Pechickjian and he proved that by simply playing his game Saturday night against Salesianum. He uncorked two threes in the opening quarter that caught everyone's attention. Clearly the youngest prospect on the floor, Pechickjian also showed his competitive spirit with his eagerness to mix it up on the boards. And even when the Warriors got down by double digits, he kept firing and hit a third three. He helped pace his squad with 11 points, 4 rebounds and 1 block.

[player_tooltip player_id='2767447' first='Brae' last='Sosa'] | 6'0 G 2029 Salesianum

In a rivalry game on the big stage, Sosa demonstrated that he was more than ready. He drilled his first three to help the team respond to Sanford's 7-0 run to start the contest. That allowed him to play off the closeouts, which he used to generate buckets at the rim. Sosa did that while never letting up on defense and capped things off with his third triple in the fourth. He scored a career high 17 points, plus 5 rebounds.

[player_tooltip player_id='2867778' first='Turk' last='Wilburn'] | 5'10 G 2029 Odessa

When the Ducks took on Conrad, it was the freshman point guard who put them in position to win. Wilburn only scored once, on a catch-and-shoot three, because he was busy throwing dimes. He got the ball in the hands of Odessa's shooters and they knocked down their fair share of threes. But Wilburn shifted gears in the third quarter to help the Ducks overcome their halftime deficit. The ball-handler in pick-and-roll, he used his touch to layer the ball over defenders to his roll-man. Wilburn also threw laser passes to the dunker spot. He racked up 3 points, 12 assists, and 2 steals.
