Tuesday night I took in a pair of small high school contests with interesting prospects in both games. Check out what we saw out of the players in Webber vs Red Hill along with Brown County vs Triopia.

Senior Continues to Rack Up Buckets for Webber

In the first game of the night Webber took home an 82-54 win over Red Hill on their home floor. As usual it was Nathan Marlow who led the way with 33 points. Marlow is one of the highest scorers in the state not only this year, but for his career. Strong wing that has a good skill level. Got to the hoop with strong drives finishing through contact while getting to the line. Rip with the ball from the mid-post. Solid shooter that hit them spotting up from distance. Can also get on the offensive glass. Not the twitchiest athlete, but he has a knack for putting it in the hoop and will be a really good small college wing. Also, Waylon Jones is a veteran guard for Webber at the point that had nifty finishes around the rim, hit a couple threes, and got after it on D.

2028 Webber Duo Have Promising Future

We also came away impressed with a pair of 2028 prospects for Webber in [player_tooltip player_id='2826283' first='Jacob' last='Marlow'] and Brian Dalby. Marlow is a 6'1” guard that has more athletic pop than his older brother. Had stretches where he took over in the second half with his rebounding on the offensive end, post up game, and defense. Went for 18 points. Brian Dalby is a lengthy wing that plays taller than his height with his long arms being able to hit a pair of threes along with creating turnovers taking steals for scores as he notched 16 points in the victory.

Red Hill Guard Play

For Red Hill they got a nice outing from Avery Arbuckle. The senior guard had 16 points including four triples in the loss. Ozzy Ash is another spark plug guard at the point who had 9. Couple of younger prospects to keep tabs on are 2027 Marcus Davis (8 points) and 2028 guard Brayden Carie (7 points).

Brown County Holds On over Triopia for Road Victory

This one looked like it was going to be a blowout as Brown County jumped out on Triopia 13-4 in the opening quarter. Triopia kept cutting into the lead throughout the next three quarters having it be a one possession game for a lot of the fourth, but could never get over the hump as Brown County won 52-46. [player_tooltip player_id='3143120' first='Bradley' last='Markert'] is the prospect that jumps off the floor for Brown County. The 6'4” 2028 two guard has good size, athleticism, and skill. Put it on the deck getting downhill with burst throughout the game for 16 points. Their 2028 6'5” five man [player_tooltip player_id='3143122' first='Henry' last='Ingram'] was effective down low on turnaround jumpers and crafty low post moves. Great touch in a 12 point outing. Jackson McNeff is a 6'5” junior forward who has some projectability. He got to the foul line with his aggressiveness and high pointed rebounds in traffic while scoring 8 points. They also got help in the backcourt from [player_tooltip player_id='3143123' first='Wyatt' last='Kassing'] with 6 points and 5 points from [player_tooltip player_id='3143119' first='Michael' last='Kassing']. They move to 12-6 on the year. This is a team to watch out for in March the next three years!

Neathery Breaks Out in 2028 for Triopia

For Triopia the player that jumped off the floor to us was Avery Neathery. He got them back in the game as the 6'3” sophomore posted 20 points as he took over for stretches. Crafty scorer around the hoop that can handle it scoring well through traffic. Back cuts and spinning layups. Poured in a mid-range jumper and a three. Definitely one to monitor moving forward! Nate Strubbe is another 6'2” guard that is worth monitoring for this squad as he flashed as a shooter.
