Rankings Update: 2027 Point Guards

Rankings coverage continues for the Class of 2027 with our first positional breakdown - a look at the Point Guards!   In all, 29 Point Guards appeared in our rankings update, including our top ranked Point Guard and the #3 overall prospect in New England, Brewster Academy's [player_tooltip player_id='2470964' first='Antonio' last='Pemberton'].    Below are five Point Guards of note from the latest rankings update.    Valters, out of CATS Academy in Massachusetts, checks in at #2 among the point guards and #13 overall. Valters is a 6'3" lefty that has a great feel for the game with the ball in his hands. He's able to quickly change directions as a downhill driver, shows high level floor vision as a facilitator, and can finish over size in the paint with touch. He has good size for the position, makes high level decisions both in transition and in the half-court, and consistently delivers quality passes to his teammates in scoring positions.     Joyner, out of the MacDuffie School in Massachusetts, checks in at #12 among the point guards and #76 overall. The 5'11" guard is playing with more confidence than ever before. He's incredibly shifty as a driver, showing the ability to quickly changes speeds and direction, and uses his strong lower base to his advantage when playing through contact. He's got a tough pull-up game, makes good reads out of ball screens, and shows the ability to defend at a high level on the other end of the floor.     Brown, out of WIndsor High School in Connecticut, checks in at #15 among the point guards and #100 overall. A power guard, Brown does a great job of creating scoring opportunities with the ball in his hands. He does a nice job of making plays off his dribble moves, is a willing ball mover within the flow of an offense, and uses his strength as a finisher in the paint. He's got good burst in short spaces, next level quickness in the open floor, and above the rim athleticism as a finisher.     Quinlan, out of the Roxbury Latin School, checks in at #19 among the point guards and #116 overall. A bigger guard at 6'2", Quinlan does a nice job of controlling pace and playing at his own speed with the ball in his hands. He's got some wiggle off the bounce, is a crafty finisher around the rim, and makes quick and decisive reads coming out of ball screens. He continues to impress with his ability to shoot the ball from all over the floor, but has definitely taken strides in his game as a floor general in recent months.     Greaves, out of Notre Dame High School Fairfield, checks in at #25 among the point guards and #157 overall. A dynamic ball-handler, Greaves seemingly has the ball on a string as a driver, getting into the paint at will and finishing plays both as a scorer and facilitator. He changes directions quickly, has an elite first step, and does a nice job of finding rollers off screens or cutters off drives. On the other end of the floor, his ability to move laterally stands out, as he keeps opponents out of the paint and away from their scoring spots.
