Johnny has emerged as one of the premier big men in the state, and he is the foundation of everything Vestavia does. At 6'7 with length, mobility, and a high motor, he controls the paint on both ends of the floor. Offensively, he provides reliable interior scoring, finishes through contact, and consistently generates second-chance opportunities with his activity on the glass. Defensively, he is a true anchor. He alters shots at the rim, protects the lane, and rebounds outside of his area, allowing Vestavia's perimeter defenders to apply pressure knowing there is help behind them. His two-way impact doesn't always show up fully in the box score, but it shows up in wins.

Emory is the alpha and tone-setter for this Rebels squad. Everything flows through him and he embraces that responsibility. He is a poised combo guard with advanced feel, excels at balancing scoring and facilitating, and making the right read without forcing the issue. His shot-making ability is proven, especially in pressure moments, and his understanding of pace allows Vestavia to play with purpose. When the game needs to settle or get a momentum swing, he is the one with the ball, and the trust from the coaching staff.

Adrian is a key chess piece in Vestavia's system. He brings versatility and edge, impacting the game as a playmaker, perimeter scorer, and on-ball defender. He can orchestrate the offense, knock down shots from deep, or create off the bounce when the defense breaks down. Defensively, his tenacity stands out. He pressures the ball, disrupts timing, and consistently makes opposing guards uncomfortable and is a critical ingredient in Vestavia's identity.

Vestavia is in the heart of area play riding momentum after a 47–41 win over Hewitt-Trussville, and the area race is wide open with multiple teams capable of advancing. What separates the Rebels is their commitment to system basketball and their inside-out balance anchored by Johnny and Emory. While some may point to lower overall scoring production compared to past seasons, this team compensates with chemistry, discipline, and a willingness to compete on both ends of the floor. They defend with purpose, rebound as a unit, and trust one another in late-game situations. Make no mistake, this is not a team built on individual numbers. It is a team built to win possession battles, execute under pressure, and peak at the right time. And as the area heats up, Vestavia is a group no one will want to see when the postseason arrives.

The Vestavia Hills Rebels are quietly putting together one of the most complete and connected teams in the area. Anchored by an elite interior presence, driven by a confident lead guard, and supported by tough, versatile role players, this group is built to compete when games tighten and possessions matter most. They don't rely on flash, they rely on execution, chemistry, and competitive fire.
