Walker Valley
2. Bradley Central
3. Cleveland
4. East Hamilton
5. Ooltewah
6. Howard

Analysis: Visitors Walker Valley crushed Bradley Central January 16th to prove second place is far, far behind the Mustangs in 2025-2026. Though Bradley Central advanced to the State Tournament last March they graduated a ton of talent and size. It is almost a completely new roster, and it shows. They are a year away and Cleveland is rebuilding. Their admin made perhaps the worst managerial decision in the state of the last 20 years in moving off of Coach Reggie Tucker. A lot of basketball players and families agreed and left the school. East Hamilton lacks the talent of yore. Both Ooltewah and Howard are yet another tier lower. Last season the Mustangs of Walker Valley won 30 games. They graduated a bit of talent, but [player_tooltip player_id='2754640' first='Zach' last='Davis'] improved quite a bit since and [player_tooltip player_id='2351063' first='Turner' last='Clayton'] is speedier.

Midseason D5-4A MVP [player_tooltip player_id='2754640' first='Zach' last='Davis']

Player of the Year

Walker Valley 2027 [player_tooltip player_id='2754640' first='Zach' last='Davis'] is the @PrepHoopsTN Midseason District D5-4A MVP at the midpoint. Davis and his brother, [player_tooltip player_id='2693640' first='Ashton' last='Davis'] play with such basketball maturity. Ashton runs the point and Zach does the scoring along with [player_tooltip player_id='2351063' first='Turner' last='Clayton']. Davis bulked up in the off-season helping him get to the danger areas constantly. The junior lives at the free throw line and generally creates problem after problem for defenders. Look for Davis to make big plays in big games in March.

All-District Team Projections
[player_tooltip player_id='2351063' first='Turner' last='Clayton'] (Walker Valley)
[player_tooltip player_id='2754640' first='Zach' last='Davis'] (Walker Valley)
[player_tooltip player_id='2101745' first='Baraka' last='Ndegwa'] (Cleveland)
[player_tooltip player_id='2693640' first='Ashton' last='Davis'] (Walker Valley)
[player_tooltip player_id='3341280' first='Jeremiah' last='Brownlow'] (Bradley Central)
[player_tooltip player_id='2693642' first='Andrew' last='Walker'] (Bradley Central)
[player_tooltip player_id='2479968' first='Daxton' last='Evans'] (Cleveland)
[player_tooltip player_id='3253508' first='Jaxon' last='Primus'] (East Hamilton)

Freshman of the Year

[player_tooltip player_id='3253508' first='Jaxon' last='Primus'] (East Hamilton) can go. The freshman rains down points like a monsoon, a bizarre natural teenage disaster. Primus plays baseball and moves at 6-foot-4 like a young man capable of competing in many different varsity sports. Primus could challenge for District MVP as soon as next year.

Unheralded

2026 Michael Wood, Walker Valley
2026 [player_tooltip player_id='3338149' first='Isaac' last='Sausville'], Walker Valley
2027 [player_tooltip player_id='2791757' first='Jayvon' last='James'], Bradley Central

All Ranked Players
[player_tooltip player_id='2693640' first='Ashton' last='Davis'] (Walker Valley)
[player_tooltip player_id='2754640' first='Zach' last='Davis'] (Walker Valley)
[player_tooltip player_id='2351063' first='Turner' last='Clayton'] (Walker Valley)
[player_tooltip player_id='2791757' first='Jayvon' last='James'] (Bradley Central)
[player_tooltip player_id='2541296' first='Gregory' last='Cason'] (Bradley Central)
[player_tooltip player_id='2479968' first='Daxton' last='Evans'] (Cleveland)
[player_tooltip player_id='1860315' first='De'avion' last='Lovelace'] (Cleveland)
[player_tooltip player_id='2101745' first='Baraka' last='Ndegwa'] (Cleveland)
[player_tooltip player_id='2478792' first='Quintin' last='Jones Jr.'] (Cleveland)
[player_tooltip player_id='2791795' first='Gabe' last='Krepps'] (Cleveland)
[player_tooltip player_id='2479971' first='Chris' last='Small'] (Cleveland)
[player_tooltip player_id='2781130' first='Jack' last='Pendleton'] (East Hamlton)
[player_tooltip player_id='3253508' first='Jaxon' last='Primus'] (East Hamilton)
[player_tooltip player_id='2693642' first='Andrew' last='Walker'] (Bradley Central)
[player_tooltip player_id='3253493' first='Corbin' last='Mayes'] (East Hamilton)
[player_tooltip player_id='3253550' first='Cordarrius' last='Lawrence'] (East Hamilton)

Follow @AndrewForce8.
