3/21/26: Tremendous week for Zach Davis Zach Davis 6'1" | PG Walker Valley | 2027 State TN . The guy just produced. Fans along i-75 knew of this physical, athletic, versatile scoring guard the last two years, but few middle Tennessee or Memphis-area families saw Zach’s dominance until this 2026 State Tournament. During Walker Valley’s penetration to the Championship Game Davis performed masterfully each step of the way. Davis scored a game-high 21 points in the 18-point win over Farragut High in the state quarters and a game-high 18 points in Walker Valley’s conquering of the gigantic Whitehaven Tigers Friday. In the crushing loss to Bartlett for the title, Zach paced everyone with 24 points (8-14 FG’s). Consider Zach shot 50% from the floor against two teams filled with future junior college and division 1 athletes, most of them 6-foot-3 or taller.

3/20/26: Davis’ three-pointer early in the third quarter elevated the Mustangs to 34-21. District MVP Zach Davis Zach Davis 6'1" | PG Walker Valley | 2027 State TN dealt with foul trouble from early in the second quarter, but Head Coach Will Campbell played him through it. Davis is the one guy who could match the exceptional size and athleticism of Whitehaven. “They play so well together because they love each other,” said Coach Campbell on the Davis brothers. “Their older brother played for me and graduated in 2020. I started coaching him in fifth grade. Zach was four at that point. So, this family has been in my life for 13-14 years at this point.” It has been a joy to watch them develop as players but moreso as young men. High character guys. I am proud to say that I coach them. For sure.”

3/9/26: Walker Valley stomped on Lebanon early, hopping out to a 18-5. District MVP Zach Davis Zach Davis 6'1" | PG Walker Valley | 2027 State TN was tough on the defensive glass and drawing fouls with the drive. Late in the first quarter, Davis tracked down an offensive rebound, saved it to Isaac Sausville Isaac Sausville 6'3" | SF Walker Valley | 2026 TN as he jumped out of bounds, then returned to play. The junior pump-faked a Lebanon defender expertly only to quickly release a successful three-point splash. The Mustangs cut down the nets late Monday, winning comfortably 74-58, but do not believe they are done. This group is 59-8 in the last two years and perfectly capable of nudging that up to 60.

1/16/26: Jet-quick first step. Bradley Central is a team with quick guards and they stood no chance against Zach. Davis routinely dashed into the lane, earning free throws multiple times. Constantly at the free throw line. Remember Zach is merely a second-semester junior. He was the fastest player in the game and possibly the strongest physically. Davis will be one of the state’s Top 50 players for the foreseeable future.

3/20/25: Big, strong dude. Zach might be All-District as early as next year. The versatile athlete plays multiple positions and overpowers many peers, even older opponents.
