MESA, Ariz. — Hoophall West brought some of the country's top traditional high schools, prep schools and EYBL Scholastic programs to Skyline high school in Arizona last weekend. We were in attendance for two days of the three day event and below we break down the best guards we watched in the Traditional high school bracket and Round Robin action.

[player_tooltip player_id='1546987' first='Adan' last='Diggs'] | 2028 | Millennium (AZ)

Diggs is among the top sophomore prospects in the country and it has to do with his wide variety of projectable skills combined with his physical tools that translate to the next level. The 6-foot-4 shooting guard is one of the smoothest perimeter scorers in the country and his efficiency and consistent production game-in and game-out are a product of his well-packaged offensive game. In the two games we watched, Diggs had 16 points, six rebounds and three assists in a loss to Wheeler and 19 points, five rebounds and four assists in a win over DeMatha.

Colben Landrew | 2026 | Wheeler (GA)

The UConn-commit brings and interesting blend of size, physicality, toughness and ability to play with force which is offset by his ability to operate with skill, touch, basketball IQ and athleticism. The 6-foot-5, 220-plus pound combo guard is a player who can do a little bit of everything on the floor from initiating offense as the primary ball-handler, creating for himself and others in transition and scoring from all three levels of the floor. For as versatile as he is as an offensive player, he's just as adaptable on the defensive end as his physical and athletic tools allow him to guard multiple positions and rebound in and out of his area. Landrew had 24 points, six rebounds and three assists in a semifinal win over Millennium and 18 points, five rebounds and six assists in a championship loss to Sunnyslope.

[player_tooltip player_id='1555180' first='Delton' last='Prescott III'] | 2027 | Sunnyslope (AZ)

Prescott has been the motor behind Sunnyslope's impressive multi-week and multi-event dominance where the Vikings won the top division at The Classic at Damien and took home the Traditional High School title at Hoophall West. The 5-foot-9 point guard is the definition of effort, energy and toughness on both sides of the floor and it results in consistent two way impact. Prescott is a high IQ set-up guy who doesn't turn the ball over despite playing at such a high rate of speed. He had 17 points, eight assists, six rebounds and three steals in a semifinal win over DeMatha and 14 points, five rebounds and two assists in teh championship win over Wheeler.

[player_tooltip player_id='1703083' first='Isaiah' last='Davis'] | 2026 | Salesian (CA)

Davis is a steady presence at the point guard spot and his ability to manage a game offensively, defend his position at a high level and provide a big scoring punch when needed. The 6-foot lefty doesn't try to do things outside of his comfort zone and has the ability to take and make the open catch-and-shoot three ball with time and space. In the game we watched Saturday, Davis scored a game-high 18 points and knocked down three of his five three-point shots.

JJ Crawford | 2029 | Rainier Beach (WA)

Crawford is a smooth operator with the ball in his hands on the perimeter. The long, wiry and fluid 6-foot-3 combo guard has the ability to create shots for himself in isolation with his smooth, crafty and shifty ball handling, changes of speed and direction and ability to stop on a dime and knock down off-bounce perimeter jumpers - even when a defender is draped all over him. The talented freshman scored 21 points on 8-for-13 from the field and 5-for-8 from three in a win over Mater Dei.

JJ Sati-Grier | 2028 | Sierra Canyon (CA)

Sati-Grier didn't score a point in the Trailblazers' blow out win over St. Mary's of Arizona but he did dish out a game-high 11 assists with no turnovers. The 5-foot-10 sophomore is of the true point guard mold in his ability to dictate and control tempo, knowing when and where to get his teammates the ball, and his willingness to play with a pass-first mindset. Sati-Grier has elite speed, vision and control in transition and half-court offense.

Kameron Cooper | 2027 | Bishop Gorman (NV)

Bishop Gorman took Northern California's best team to the wire and Cooper was a big reason why. The 6-foot-4 shooting guard scored 14 points, including three 3-pointers, and added seven rebounds to his performance. What stood out most about Cooper was how vocal and dialed in he was on the defensive end. The junior used his length and lateral speed to defend multiple positions and make an impact on the glass.

Kevin Savage | 2027 | Wheeler (GA)

Savage is a gifted scoring guard whose left-handed jump shot is complete with tremendous elevation, a fluid release and the ability to shoot off the bounce, off the catch and off movement when utilizing hand-offs and screening actions. The 6-foot junior has the ability to fill up the scoring column in a hurry as a high volume shot-maker and tempo pusher when attacking the rim in transition. Savage had 11 points, three rebounds and four assists in a championship game loss to Sunnyslope and 24 points and five rebounds in a semifinal win over Millennium.

[player_tooltip player_id='2276223' first='Kingston' last='Montague'] | 2028 | Basha (AZ) | *Pictured

Basha hung tough with one of California's best teams and Montague's sophomore year breakout was on full display in that game. The 6-foot scoring guard is always in attack mode, has perimeter jump shooting ability off the bounce from three and mid-range and uses his speed and physicality to get into the lane and finish through contact. Montague had 21 points on 6-for-9 from the field, 3-for-6 from three and 6-for-8 from the free throw line and added four steals.

[player_tooltip player_id='1323290' first='Mason' last='Magee'] | 2026 | Basha (AZ)

Magee is one of the premier transition playmakers out west and he had his tempo-pushing, hyper-aggressive attack mentality dialed in. The 5-foot-10 senior - who signed with the University of San Francisco - has elite open court speed but remains controlled when getting to the rim and uses his physicality and vertical athleticism to get into the body of defenders, nullify their ability to challenge his shots, to make up for his lack of positional size. Magee had 15 points, five rebounds, three assists and two steals in a loss to St. John Bosco.
