Behind a legendary performance from five-star senior Jason Crowe Jr., Inglewood made the most of its cross-country trip from California with a thrilling 81-80 win over the "hometown" kids from Notre Dame West Haven (CT) at the famed HoopHall Classic. The Missouri-bound Crowe set an event record with 48 points, highlighted by a whopping 27 in the opening 12 minutes of play. Arkansas pledge [player_tooltip player_id='2341304' first='Abdou' last='Toure'] countered with 31 of his own for Notre Dame, rimming out on a game-winning shot at the buzzer.    The leading scorer in the history of California, Crowe added another milestone to his resumé with a record-breaking 48 points to catalyze the win. He ripped off 27 in the first quarter and a half of play, using his deep bag of dribble moves and counters to get to his spots and convert from seemingly anywhere on the floor. Crowe's finishing and shotmaking touch are unparalleled among his counterparts in the high school game. He also added six steals to help get Inglewood out in transition, and muscled in a pair of tough buckets after briefly exiting the game with cramps late in the fourth quarter. Look for Crowe to get the ball early and often at Missouri where he'll have a chance to etch his name further into the record books.     While Crowe set the scoring record and emerged with the win, Toure had every bit as impactful of a two-way performance despite leaving with a loss. The future Arkansas Razorback stuffed the stat sheet with 31 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals, and 6 blocks, highlighted by a rim-rocking poster slam that wound up as the top play on SportsCenter. Toure used his violently explosive athleticism to wreak havoc around the rim on both ends of the floor, while also displaying his steadily improving skill level as a ballhandler and shotmaker. He left a positive impression on the swath of NBA scouts in attendance as he now sets his sights on a state title to close out his storied prep career.     Crowe's normal co-star, Conerly was held quiet for much of the game, sitting on zero points until midway through the third quarter. He caught fire when it mattered most, however, ripping off 12 points down the stretch of the game, none bigger than his twisting and-one layup to tie the game and then take the lead in the closing seconds. Conerly was aggressive attacking closeouts with unorthodox but poised footwork and deft finishing touch, also dropping off a couple slick passes on the move. He used his length to get into passing lanes and cause deflections as well. It will take time for him to add muscle to his narrow frame, but the upside for Conerly could be really high when all is said and done.     Flanking Toure for Notre Dame, Krygier was consistently effective throughout the contest, taking advantage of a smaller and slimmer Inglewood lineup to impose his will on the offensive end. The Sacred Heart commit finished with 18 points, the majority coming in the form of momentum-swinging second half plays. A mismatch forward, Krygier used his size, strength, and athleticism to attack the rim with fervor but also showed his versatility while stepping out to knock down three of his four attempts from long range. It was a marquee performance from Krygier on the big stage despite walking away with the loss.     Although Notre Dame was on the losing end, Ssenyange did his part while stepping up within his role during key minutes off the bench. The senior swingman knocked down a trio of first half 3s that helped establish some momentum for Notre Dame and stem the tide of Crowe's blistering start. He also showed promising instincts in the floor game while adding four assists and three rebounds, with a blend of length and strength that should offer a good deal of positional versatility at the small-college level.     It's always good to see underclassmen step up on the big stage, and Ezekiel did just that while delivering Notre Dame crucial minutes in each half despite the narrow loss. A lengthy forward with burgeoning athleticism, Ezekiel showed soft hands and touch along with a keen sense for positioning while working himself free for easy buckets en route to 8 points on a perfect 4-4 from the field. He was active on the backline defensively while changing ends with enthusiasm and showing promising long-term athletic tools in the process. Overall he was a +9 in his 12 minutes of action off the bench. Very young for his grade and already looking bigger than when we last saw him, Ezekiel appears to have a bright future with his best basketball still ahead of him.
