The state of Missouri was well represented with top performers on Saturday at the Highland Shootout! Here we look at the underclassmen prospects that shined at the event from Missouri!

[player_tooltip player_id='2920307' first='Mo' last='Kourama'] (Chaminade – 2028)

Kourama was a manchild in their game against [player_tooltip player_id='2873530' first='Logan' last='']-Rogersville. In a matchup of two top 5 prospects inside in the 2028 class Kourama made it a point to leave a statement performance which is exactly what he did. Big and strong post that physically is ready for college right now as a sophomore in high school. Early in the season when we saw him he showed flashes, but put it all together in this game. The lefty took his man off the bounce consistently from the high-post for scores, was a one man wrecking crew on the offensive glass, and even stepped out to hit a three. Runs the floor very well and cut a passing lane for a steal taking it on his own. He had 22 points (9-12 FG) and 13 rebounds in the win.

[player_tooltip player_id='2569202' first='Elijah' last='Poniewaz'] (Chaminade – 2028)

Poniewaz was a key part of the second half comeback for Chaminade. Strong and stocky left handed combo guard passed it better than we had previously seen in the drive and kick along with finding teammates in transition. Bit of a streaky shooter, but when he is on can get it rolling hitting a couple of big ones from deep. Uses his strength and acrobatic finishing ability to convert in the lane notching 12 points (4-13 FG) and 4 assists.

Vance Weber (Chaminade – 2029)

Weber is a 2029 wing that is actually from Highland, but is playing his high school ball at Chaminade. He got a big cheer when he checked in to the game. Wing with good size and strength already. Got a layup on a cut, grabbed a rebound, and had a dime in a few minutes of action.

[player_tooltip player_id='2607456' first='Titus' last='Moore'] ([player_tooltip player_id='2873530' first='Logan' last=''] Rogersville – 2028)

Moore is a big bodied four man who brings skill to the table. Carves out space inside for scores and was effective in the pick/roll as a finisher. Showed he could space the floor with his shooting banging in 3-5 from distance including a sweet pick/pop deep ball. The highly ranked sophomore had 13 points (5-11 FG), 5 rebounds, and 3 assists.

[player_tooltip player_id='2569194' first='Bryce' last='Millien'] (Webster Groves – 2028)

Millien is an athletic two guard that shot it pretty well from distance. That along with his athleticism and defensive potential make him someone to watch as he dropped 11 points (3-6 3PT), 2 assists, and 2 steals.
