The best of the best from the boys games at St. Cloud Cathedral. We tell you who and why!

[player_tooltip player_id='2841061' first='Harold' last='Habben'] of Benson (6'8 Sr). Habben is a player that really caught my attention and I feel like if you are a d3, NAIA or juco that recruits this area you should have a look at the film of his game today. Harold came into the game averaging 16 points and ten rebounds a game and he led Benson to a six point win with 20 points, 19 rebounds, four blocks and four assists. He shot 10 of 16 from the field while totalling a double-double. Harold is a long, hard working big that runs well and uses his length really well on defense. Needs a bit more experience but there is a good frame and good potential to work with. A double-double average on an undefeated team at 6'8 is not a common thing.

[player_tooltip player_id='2524653' first='Dawson' last='Hofer'] of Holdingford (6'4, Jr). The best player at the Community Clash Cathedral location was Dawson. He scored 30 points on 12 of 17 shooting and within those numbers were two explosive one hand dunks on the halfcourt set and a handful of mid-range jumper with good form, good lift, and a soft touch. The bounce is there, he is strong as they come in his class, the agility is there and now the skills look even better. Throw in a dozen rebounds and seven assists and you had a player of the day and a prospect status on the up.

Brodi Huls of Holdingford (6'0, Sr). When Cathedral was taking away Hofer with early effort the offense went to Huls and man did the senior deliver. He made seven of his first eight attempts including four threes to give the Huskers the early lead. As the game progressed Brodi moved the ball for six assists, chased down eight boards and finished with 26 points making 10 of 13 attempts.

[player_tooltip player_id='2403777' first='Soren' last='Lilly'] of Braham (6'4,Jr). Eklund is the main scoring option and while he took a ton of shots (29), he can't take them all and Lilly is a very good option to step in and add support. Lilly scored 24 points on 8 of 18 shooting plus he grabbed six boards and made all six foul shot attempts. Lilly always seemed to be on the move in transition with or without the ball and was comfortable scoring over the top of some really big help defenders in the paint from Benson. Also hit a couple threes.

Micah Nwachukwu of St. Cloud Apollo (6'1, Sr). Micah did an impressive job handling the basketball for the Eagles. Much better than I expected, Micah might have a future at the position in D3 or junior college if he continues to improve. His handling of pressure, first read and creating for six assists caught the eye. He also grabbed seven rebounds and Micah scored a dozen points including a couple threes and he only took seven shots for the game.

[player_tooltip player_id='2447852' first='Hank' last='Sand'] of St. Cloud Cathedral (6'0 Sr). How about the range on this guy? Sand also had five first half threes and he sunk seven of them for the game. He had two more spin out including one late from about 32 feet. Scored his 27 points making half of his 18 attempts and this is definitely a shooter that I will have committed to memory.

[player_tooltip player_id='2569233' first='De'Anthony' last='Sells'] of St. Cloud Apollo (6'6, Jr). Sells was bigger, faster and stronger than everything Little Falls put on the floor. In fact, I believe all the Apollo starters were bigger, faster, and stronger than what Little Falls put on the court. Sells had 17 points on 7 of 10 shooting including a monster lob dunk he caught from Micah. Back to the basket, straight to the rim or moving off the ball, Sells was physically too much.

[player_tooltip player_id='2434184' first='Rhys' last='Sneide'] of Bemidji (6'0 Sr). Rhys hit some crucial late shot attempts for the Lumberjacks to win the game including two late threes. Scored 16 points and every shot he took was the right one and he did it with clean form. Scored on 6 of 10 shots with four assists, a perfect compliment to Boschee and Riewer to take pressure off of them, or score on a day when the stars don't shoot as well. Very good senior player.

Graidy Zimmerman of Benson (5'11 Jr). Zimmerman made a very strong impression. I loved the way he handled the Braham pressure and he kicks starts an offense that moves the ball really well with an excellent assist rate. There were few bad possessions that Benson had in terms of turnovers or bad shots, and Graidy is the conductor of that really strong offense. He scored on 7 of 11 field goal attempts (four threes) and 6 of 8 foul shot attempts. A very heady, steady guard and a big reason Benson is 16-0. Grady and Waylon Pierson make for a very good junior backcourt (Pierson had a tough shooting day but still had nine points, six boards and five assists).
