joined the group of the committed earlier this week. The athletic 6-foot-5 wing from Gresham announced that he's made a pledge to Division II Black Hill State in South Dakota, and did so not long after making an official visit to campus to check out what will be his future collegiate home.
"They offered me and then they invited me to go down there," Artharee said. "I checked it out, it was pretty nice. I liked the program and everything about it, so I decided to commit."
Artharee broke down more about what he saw from the Yellow Jackets program and Spearfish, South Dakota. "I like the coaching staff and the environment," Artharee said. "The team looks pretty cool and they compete against every team.
I noticed they're one of the best teams in the nation, so that's really interesting and I'd like to go play with them."
At press time, Black Hills State stood at 16-3 overall and currently rank in the Top 20 in all of D-II. One other thing that was also enticing to Artharee was the opportunity to play from the jump for such a good program. "They said I can come in as a freshman and play right away if I do what I need to do," Artharee said. "Just play hard and rebound, make the right plays and everything."
With his decision in the books - Artharee has already signed his letter-of-intent - the focus goes right back to the season, one in which he's taking things one game at a time.
"I think we'll get a couple more wins - we've got Barlow next and I'm excited for that," Artharee said. "I hope we can go down there and get the win."
Our congratulations go out to Artharee and his family on his decision. He currently ranks as the #6 player in the Class of 2026 rankings.
