[player_tooltip player_id='2323571' first='Jaxson' last='Davis'] (#1) proved to the 2026 Highland Shootout why he's ranked among the top players in the country. As the primary ball handler, Davis made it look effortless, executing several no-look passes during transition. He can also slow the game down and call plays. Davis demonstrated a soft mid-range shot and went 6 -10 from beyond the arc, finishing with an impressive 33 points. Jason Crowe Jr. (#5) was one of the main reasons the Shootout drew another large crowd. The Mizzou commit displayed an impressive mid-range shot with a quick catch and release. His dribbling and ball-handling skills were top-notch, which he used to create scoring chances for himself, finishing with 28 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='2509009' first='Jackson' last='Tabash'] (#21) took the top spot in the three-point category, going 8-12 and finishing with 26 points. Most of his three-point shots were taken on the left wing or baseline. Tabash has a smooth release and was most effective when set. His pinpoint accuracy alone helped keep the Statesmen in the game. Still, even his buzzer-beater three-pointer only brought the team within one point. It would again be [player_tooltip player_id='2323571' first='Jaxson' last='Davis'] (#1) who shows up on the leaderboard, going 6 -10 from beyond the arc. Most of Davis' three-point shots were taken from the top of the key after his teammate set a quick pick.

[player_tooltip player_id='2334910' first='Sekou' last='Cisse'] (#45) of Principia is an energetic player. He dominated the floor. He finished the game with 12 rebounds, 3 blocks, and 25 points. He used his size and strength to position himself well for rebounds and shot opportunities. Cisse had a soft touch and handled the ball effectively. He was most successful tipping in shots. He used his touch around the rim. He employed his length to create blocks or steals. Mo Kourouma (#24) made his presence felt with 13 rebounds and 22 points. Like Cisse, he is strong with a soft touch and shows perimeter shooting ability. This 6'8” power forward has the size and athleticism. I look forward to watching his development. He is now in the class of 2028.
