[player_tooltip player_id='2126115' first='Vincent' last='Cronin'] of Edina (Jr). Cronin is a player we have been talking about as being a potential next up to get division one looks and he stepped right into that type of spot on Saturday in the comforts of his home environment. Vincent scored 25 while doing his part to limit the Prior Lake starting frontcourt to five points each. A great example of why Cronin is one of the top forwards in his class.

Brennan Doherty of Orono (Sr). Orono is skilled, smart and motivated with guys ready to make their mark with their first real chance. Brennan surely made the most of his chance scoring 20 points led by six threes made against Faribault. A support player last year, Brennan is scoring ten a game this month and had a breakout game against the Falcons on Saturday.

[player_tooltip player_id='1560839' first='Xavier' last='Frelix'] of Hopkins (Sr). The TG defense was very strong on Saturday in the win but Frelix was one guy who was able to find some space to score. He rebounded, Xavier scored a team high 15 points and it wasn't as much as the arc as it was going towards the basket from mid and at the cup. Also moving the ball within the Royal system well. Had a big And1 later in the game when the contest was still a one score battle.

[player_tooltip player_id='2465510' first='Mark' last='Graff'] of Mahtomedi (Sr). Pushed the Zephyrs to a 64-48 win over Sartell and Mark had his hand in some many different areas of the win. The Zephyrs surrounded [player_tooltip player_id='1560795' first='Maddox' last='Lewis'] and Graff played his part there, he handled the ball, scored his 27 points and moved the ball all over the court for a balanced offense. Continuing on his all state path.

[player_tooltip player_id='1560740' first='Dothan' last='Ijadimbola'] of Totino-Grace (Sr). The Drake signed forward had a take notice game for the Eagles scoring 27 points leading TG over Hopkins. Started the game hitting from the perimeter (three triples) and then used his skill, agility and crafty play in the paint finish down the stretch. Put him on that Race for Mr. Basketball list because Dothan is a player.

Xaviahn Ivey of Wayzata (Jr). I love the element that Ivey brings to the Trojan line-up. He's a speedy player with great change of direction skill and a really strong feel for the decision that needs to be made each possession. Ivey is a player that can hound the ball handler defensively and he can also chase a shooter and make them uncomfortable. Offensively he can hit an open shot, he can get to the corner turn, he can make those plays but he also knows that those plays come at the right times while there are many many mouths to feed in the Trojan offense and when they are all fed, the team succeeds at a level higher than anybody. A certain early season stock raiser, Ivey had 18 vs the Raiders.

[player_tooltip player_id='1560883' first='Ethan' last='Richter'] of Liberty Classical (Sr). Ethan is a 6'1 wing that coaches love because he is a worker and he plays a selfless game on both ends of the floor. Ethan is also a good shooter that caught fire and scored 32 points in a two score win over Breck on Saturday. Creative effort by Liberty and Breck to play each other after their outstate opponents coming for the Tip Off Classic were no longer coming. Richter is scoring 21 points a game through five games.

[player_tooltip player_id='2822863' first='Andrew' last='Russell'] of Mahtomedi (Sr). Mahtomedi is a long and agile team. We have talked about forwards [player_tooltip player_id='2822606' first='Noah' last='Carlson'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2140712' first='Willie' last='Roelofs'] but also helping a lot is 6'5, 175 pound state high jump champion [player_tooltip player_id='2822863' first='Andrew' last='Russell']. Long and bouncy, plays an active game that gets even more versatile length on the floor. Scored a dozen in the win over Sartell.
