[player_tooltip player_id='2334870' first='Scottie' last='Adkinson'] (Webster Groves): The 6'3" guard put on a show in leading the Statesmen to the championship. He scored 40 points in the semifinals against CBC and followed up with 36 points against Lee's Summit West in the championship game. I was in the house for the semifinals and he was magnificent. He scored 20 points in the first 10 minutes of the game. He scored on twisting drives, post moves and 3-pointers from out to 25 feet. He also makes his teammates better with his passing and playmaking ability. As good as he was as a sophomore when he led Webster to the Class 5 state title, he is even better this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2928351' first='Jaycen' last='Walker'] (Lee's Summit North): A 6'2" guard who had a big hand in leading the Broncos to a spot in the championship game. He is a high-motor player who is tough to stop when he decides to get downhill on the drive. When he gets a rebound, he's going coast to coast and you're not going to stop him. In the halfcourt, he has a quick first step to get to the basket. In the semifinals against St. Mary's, he knocked down three 3-pointers, including a pair in the fourth quarter to help North pull up the victory.

[player_tooltip player_id='2836966' first='Kyren' last='Evans'] (Lutheran North): A 6'0" point guard who is a very talented and athletic player who walks the balance of being a playmaker/distributor of the ball and a lead scoring threat. He can blow by defenders off the dribble to score on the straight line drive. He has a nice floater in the lane and a pull up from the mid-range. He can also draw the contact from bigger defenders. He is also very unselfish as he will find open teammates when he draws defenders to him on the drive.

[player_tooltip player_id='2334951' first='Xavier' last='Clark'] (St. Mary's): A 6'1" guard who plays the game with a relentless motor at both ends of the court. He never takes a play off, which is perfect in the Dragons' organized chaos system on defense. He was constantly attacking the basket and he finished very well at the rim. He was instrumental in the Dragons' rally from a 10-point deficit to take the lead early in the fourth quarter in the semifinals against Lee's Summit North. He had to leave the game with an injury and the Dragons lost some of that momentum when he went out. His on ball defense was very good as he picked a pocket in the open court, which led to a layup.

Kyron Jackson (CBC): A 5'11" combo guard who is a very talented offensive player. He did a good job of creating off the dribble and his 3-point shot was working in the semifinals against CBC. He was hitting them off the catch, off the dribble and he also dribbled up the court and hit a walk up 3-pointer that was smooth. He was also willing to give up his body and take a charge on the defensive end, which was very unselfish.

[player_tooltip player_id='2509009' first='Jackson' last='Tabash'] (Webster Groves): The 6'2" shooting guard was one of the standouts of the championship game as he scored 19 points in the Statesmen's victory over Lee's Summit North. His perimeter shooting was one the money has he knocked down five 3-pointers.

[player_tooltip player_id='2899531' first='Vernon' last='Harlan'] (John Burroughs): A 6'4" power forward who has a strong presence in the low post. He used his thick body to get good position and he can wheel inside to get a bucket. He also has a quick jump off the floor to rebound and also block shots.
