Skip Holiday Classic Standouts

There were players that showed out and showed their skill in the 2 games. He showed his vision and passing with a precision bounce pass across the lane for an assist. Walcott later initiated contact near the rim and played it off 2 feet for a bucket. That wouldn't be the last time that he finished and scored off 2 feet either. Let's start with his defense. He hedged a high sideline ball screen with quickness and effectiveness on multiple occasions. Dudas then showed that he could play drop back defense off a screen as well. He was able to rim protect on a few occasions. On the offensive end, Dudas scored on in front of the rim flip ins and put back buckets. He scored from everywhere on the floor. Sundman buried, by my count, 3 triples. He was able to initiate contact and draw a foul in transition. Sundman showed that he's not just a shooter by using both hands to weave through traffic for a layup. He also drove to the basket and used a spin and score to add points to the scoreboard. Sundman proved that he had touch around the rim when he hit a pretty floater. He came out of the gates ready to play hard and battle for boards and loose balls. Phillips really helped to set an early tone. He has the size and strength needed to dominate in the paint, but can also step outside and pass and shoot. I liked the way that Elling handled the ball last night.
