While Buckingham only had 14 points compared to the 20+ points he scored yesterday, these felt more impactful. Tough, body control finishes with defenders draped off of him. Along with a couple deep threes made up his scoring output. One of those threes came after he crashed the glass, and ripped a rebound away from a taller defender. Buckingham's buckets had weight to them, in the Knight's semifinal win. Shockingly the senior didn't make any trips to the line, something the crafty guard usually excels at doing.

Sykes has two fingers on his right hand tapped up and missed some action right before Christmas. But based on the daggers threes he hit in the fourth quarter, the injury isn't slowing him down. The threes were a capper to a 16 point and 8 rebound performance. The athletic guard always climbs the ladder to make contested rebounds on both ends of the court. And seemed to be able to get to the rim at will against Jenks. Leading to points for himself or shot creation for his teammates.

It's a wonder the Mustang fire department hasn't been called on back to back nights to the Mustang Event Center. As Reynolds has been on fire. Went for a team high 19 points, with four triples. Simply a pure shooter who is thriving in his role with his new team. He makes the most of his open looks, which also opens up the floor for his teammates. And his makes feel like the type that can potentially swing the biggest games this year for Mustang. Now has made 10 threes for the tournament.

19 points and 8 assists are loud enough from just looking at the stat sheet. His head on the swivel playing style while have him serving up an alley oop one possession. Then finding a wide open shooter in the corner. Picks his spots very well to score, as he's learning how to steal a bucket or two by pushing off makes and rebounds. Has some flash with his dribble moves to spin and turn into openings on drives against taller players. Or just straight burry a pull up triple. Would like to see him become more vocal as he matures. But clearly sees and understands the game very well. Which has made a perfect fit on a team filled with shooters and athletic high flyers.
