Excuse the typo above, but Nate Sidney from ANN ARBOR Huron was tremendous when I saw him play. He's a true point guard that would make both old school players and lovers of today's game proud. Sidney is a willing and able passer that will never hesitate to hit a teammate in scoring position. And he can pass people open as well. Sidney did show that he can and will go get a bucket when the opportunity is there. He was just superb at recognizing good opportunities in this game.

I'm going to say this often, this Clarkston team was a TREMENDOUS passing team. Barrow fit that style well against Walled Lake Western. He had a beautiful over the top back door feed to Max Harmon who finished with a righty layup. Barrow also crossed halfcourt with the ball and with no hesitation, rifled a perimeter feed while on the move to a teammate for an open 3. Barrow also showed that he can attack off the bounce. He used a change of speed to put a defender on his hip and get a bucket.

It wasn't Saline's night against Ann Arbor Huron, but you can definitely look deeper into Cotuna's game. He has a chance to be a big time defender. Cotuna has good feet and moved well on the perimeter and in the paint. He was one of the better shot blockers that I've seen so far. Cotuna read the shooter, used his length and timed the block to avoid the foul.

Lewis battled through high level defenders for about a dozen points against Clarkston. He was pretty slick with the ball and was able to get his man in a tough spot and touch the paint. Lewis showed off an athletic mid range jumper with touch. I really liked a soft jumper that he layed off the backboard.

Morning could make the underrated claim and I don't think I could argue against it. He looked bouncy and athletic against Saline. He showed that with a 2 handed flush with no prep step needed. Morning showed that he can be a 2 way player as well, picking up a few steals against the Hornets.
