Cotuna had a huge influence on the outcome of this game. His defense was beyond valuable. Cotuna constantly altered shots around the rim. That rim protection resulted in at least 6 blocks on the night. Cotuna’s highlight may have been a perimeter steal that led to a fast break 2 handed dunk finish.

Cotuna is a prospect that I really like. I just see a lot of upside and skill in his game. Cotuna is a willing rebounder and a very good all around defender. He has an impressive wingspan and he utilized it to block multiple shots in this game. That included 1 block that sounded like he punched the ball when he sent it toward the seats. Cotuna gave up a glimpse of his jumper as well when he hit a wing 3.

It wasn’t Saline’s night against Ann Arbor Huron, but you can definitely look deeper into Cotuna’s game. He has a chance to be a big time defender. Cotuna has good feet and moved well on the perimeter and in the paint. He was one of the better shot blockers that I’ve seen so far. Cotuna read the shooter, used his length and timed the block to avoid the foul.

Cotuna will be a player that I have an eye on this season. I’ve been watching him play since early middle school and have always thought he had tons of potential. He can be a long shot blocker on defense. Offensively, he can play as a wing or stretch the floor as a forward.

If you haven’t heard of Cotuna, you should get familiar. He’s a natural shot blocker, but I think the wing suits him better for his long term potential. Cotuna can step outside and hit a jumper and works well facing the rim. The Expo would be a great opportunity for him to spark his senior season.

Cotuna will be a player to watch this season and college coaches will want him on their radar. He’s a next level talent. The best part is, Cotuna doesn’t have to score to influence the game. He had at least 4 deflections (the 4 I know of all led to turnovers)m at least 3 blocks and a handful of offensive boards.

A rebuilding Saline team lost in OT to Salem, but it looks like it could be a coming out party for Cotuna. He led the Hornets with 14 points.

If you’ve followed my work closely, you know I’m a really big fan of Cotuna and his game. I truly believe that he comes with a ton of upside and that was clear in the game last night. He reads shooters and shots, and uses his length to challenge and block shots. Cotuna made it tough to find an uncontested look at the rim. A majority of his points came from put backs and other very high percentage looks at the rim.

If you haven’t heard this name, you’re going o want to remember it. I’ve seen this young man play a lot, and I love his defensive footwork. It’s very rare that he’s caught out of position and that helps him a ton with his help defense. Cotuna always seems to be able to slide in or over and challenge a shot at the rim.
