<p>Film is an essential part of high school basketball these days. I know that I personally watch endless amounts of film every week. We're going to take the opportunity today to do a quick film breakdown off some clips found on social media.</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">Dowdy has been drawing some attention to his game early in the season. These are 3 very short clips, but they provide some essential information. Dowdy looks way more bouncy and athletic. This is allowing him to not rely on his jumper or a strength mismatch. This film clip really shows off a 2 dribble power drive to the right. Aaegesen catches with strong hands at the free throw line and can straight line bully his opponent to the rim. It shows his blow by speed on a right handed dribble drive, but it also shows that he can attacl with his left hand. Cannon shows that he can finish at the rim in traffic and through a defender. At surface level, it's that simple. But go deeper. Is there anyone else there? Champions are in empty gyms working on their games when the bright lights are off. He has so many tools. Lake is big, strong and athletic. Let's start with D. You can see him defending multiple spots on the floor and even providing pressure on the pass in the backcourt. Lake looks like a true multi level scorer.
