The Class 4A division in Iowa is absolutely filled with elite talent. With there being so many great players in this division, it is easy for some prospects to go under the radar. Let's get right into some Class 4A Iowa hoopers who deserve more attention.    Joshua Charlotin is one of the most promising young talents I have seen play so far this season. He is an extremely versatile offensive force. He has elite footwork in the post and creates buckets around the rim often. His touch is great in the paint, and his handle is very advanced and allows him to get downhill often. He can hit threes from outside and has a nice perimeter game. However, his most impressive skill is his passing. Joshua is great at pushing the ball ahead in transition and throwing accurate passes with one hand. When he creates an advantage, he routinely makes the defense pay with his ability to make quick reads and find open cutters or shooters. Joshua is also a very impactful and switchable defender who blocks shots and cleans the defensive glass. Joshua Charlotin has immense potential.     DJ Bijiek has all the tools to be elite. For starters, his length and athleticism are out of this world. He's a legit 6'9" and has extremely long arms. He is a fluid athlete who has nice footwork on the defensive end and great recovery abilities. He is outstanding as a help-side rim protector, as his speed allows him to sprint over and block shots. He shuts down opponents in the post and is a constant presence in the paint, while also being a force on the perimeter with his nose for the ball and ability to create turnovers and collect steals. On the offensive end, he has flashed nice touch and a fluid three-point jumper. DJ Bijiek makes an impact all over the floor with his size and skill. He really needs no room at all to get a clean look off, and he is especially efficient from behind the arc even with contesting defenders trying to throw him off. His shooting threat, both off the catch and off the dribble, creates many hard closeouts, which he is adept at attacking, making quick reads, and producing open shots for his team. He is a really smart player and always makes the right play. Chase is also an impactful defender. He is always very engaged and active on the defensive end, which leads to him gaining many steals in the passing lanes. Lionel does literally everything for Des Moines Lincoln, both on offense and defense. He runs the offense and is elite at attacking off screens and getting to the rim for tough finishes. He routinely splits through the defense like it's nothing, and he has great instincts as a scorer. He hits threes from distance and is an outstanding passer. He makes great reads in the pick and roll and is a fantastic manipulator of the defense, fitting passes through tough angles, while also being able to dime up his teammates off his own shot creation. Lionel is also everywhere on the defensive end. He blocks shots, breaks up lobs, cleans the glass, and gets steals. [player_tooltip player_id='2853882' first='Cole' last='Swartz'] plays with great energy and passion. Cole is a very animated and engaged defender who gets many steals. He gets them both in the passing lanes and by plucking ball handlers while playing hard defense. He also blocks shots and makes life tough for whoever is tasked with getting a bucket on him. He brings the same enthusiasm on the other side of the court. He plays super hard and doesn't take plays off. He sprints off screens and hits movement threes with his fluid and quick jumper. He is always moving and searching for high-percentage shots, helping his team and spacing the floor.
