The first annual Forest Park Showcase featuring six of the top teams in Southern Indiana from different classes competing in three games. In Game 1, defending 3A champion Northview featuring Marian University Commit [player_tooltip player_id='1561022' first='Brayden' last='Goff'] faced off with Providence, the defending 2A sectional champion from Southeast Indiana. In Game 2, defending 2A sectional champion Linton, featuring four-year starter [player_tooltip player_id='1560992' first='Paul' last='Oliver'], and high scoring guard [player_tooltip player_id='1560986' first='Conner' last='Daily'] went up against Heritage Hills, led by 6'6” Junior Forward [player_tooltip player_id='2140443' first='Tait' last='Wetzel'] and 6'6” Senior Wing [player_tooltip player_id='1560951' first='Jake' last='Prior']. In the night cap, the host Forest Park Rangers led by 6'9” Junior Forward [player_tooltip player_id='2140403' first='Kamdon' last='Partenheimer'] take on the tall task of Evansville North featuring 6'6” Senior Wing [player_tooltip player_id='1561076' first='Bryson' last='Chapman'], along with one of the top backcourts in Seniors [player_tooltip player_id='1561073' first='Sena' last='Gore'], [player_tooltip player_id='1561101' first='Seab' last='Johnson'], and Junior [player_tooltip player_id='2140367' first='Greg' last='Pieterek']. This article will have full game recaps and MVP's from each game:

Game 1: Northview vs Providence

A rock fight early on with each team unable to get much offense going. It took one scoring in the second quarter for the Northview Knights to get comfortable and pull away to defeat Providence 45-25. The duo of Sophomore Forward [player_tooltip player_id='2797123' first='Quinn' last='Lewis'] and Senior Wing [player_tooltip player_id='2892554' first='Avery' last='Perry'] led the Knights in scoring with Lewis finishing with 13 points and Perry following with 12. Marian Commit [player_tooltip player_id='1561022' first='Brayden' last='Goff'] didn't score it like he normally does, but it was the first time getting to see him, and I love the way he controlled the game, playing at his own pace and being a vocal leader.

MVP: [player_tooltip player_id='2797123' first='Quinn' last='Lewis'] (13 Points)

Game 2: Heritage Hills vs Linton

This was a matchup of two really good teams in a game of runs. Linton came out firing on all cylinders hitting six three-point shots in the first quarter as they jumped out to a 24-13 lead. The second quarter belonged to [player_tooltip player_id='2140443' first='Tait' last='Wetzel'], the 6'6” Junior Forward from Heritage Hills. He was a matchup nightmare for the Miners on the low block as he scored nine of his fifteen first half points in the second quarter as Heritage Hills went on their own run outscoring Linton 23-12 to tie the game at 36. A back and forth second half saw Linton take control behind the senior duo of [player_tooltip player_id='1560986' first='Conner' last='Daily'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1560992' first='Paul' last='Oliver'] as the Miners defeated Heritage Hills 68-59 behind 26 points from Daily and 15 points from Oliver. Heritage Hills had three players in double figures led by [player_tooltip player_id='2140443' first='Tait' last='Wetzel'] with 24 points followed by [player_tooltip player_id='1560979' first='Peyton' last='Gray'] with 12 points and [player_tooltip player_id='1560951' first='Jake' last='Prior'] with 10 points.

MVP: [player_tooltip player_id='1560986' first='Conner' last='Daily'] (26 Points)

Game 3: Evansville North vs Forest Park

A fast and furious pace to start the game, North was able to use their speed and athleticism to get easy looks on basically every possession early on. Forest Park didn't back down as they were able to get behind the defense several times for easy scores. Despite playing from behind, 6'9” Junior Forward [player_tooltip player_id='2140403' first='Kamdon' last='Partenheimer'] showed why he was the best prospect on the floor. His ability to score from all over the floor was the reason Forest Park made a run late to try and keep the game close, but it wasn't enough as the senior trio of [player_tooltip player_id='1561478' first='Lance' last='Smith'], [player_tooltip player_id='1561076' first='Bryson' last='Chapman'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1561073' first='Sena' last='Gore'] propelled the Evansville North Huskies to a 71-63. Smith led the Huskies with 18 points followed by [player_tooltip player_id='1561076' first='Bryson' last='Chapman']'s 17 points. Starting guard [player_tooltip player_id='1561073' first='Sena' last='Gore'] was also in double figures with 12 points connecting on three three-point shots. Forest Park's [player_tooltip player_id='2140403' first='Kamdon' last='Partenheimer'] led all scorers with 30 points, 17 coming in the second half. Junior Guard Dee Finch was also in double figures for the Rangers with 13 points.

MVP: [player_tooltip player_id='1561478' first='Lance' last='Smith'] (18 Points)
