[player_tooltip player_id='2053688' first='Jasiah' last='King']

King the do-everything guard that simply gets it done everytime on the floor. He plays either guard spot as well as off the wing and is lethal in transition as a finisher or as a distributor. King's length and ahtleticism puts him in an elite class of combo type guard in WV. I chose him for this category based on the nightly impact he'll have to have for his team to be able to compete in this region.

State Tournament Qualifier Prediction

Morgantown

Like others on these lists, I'm not moving Morgantown out of contention until they remove themselves. This team is talented and deep.

Washington

Washington is arguably the most talented team with three college level guards and a couple forwards who can develop into all -conference guys.

Spring Mills

The Cards are talented and now have extra size in [player_tooltip player_id='2303399' first='Anden' last='Santamaria']'s transfer. This program has been on fire in recent years and shold absolutely be counted in for the trip to Charleston.

University

The Hawks are the new kid on the block here, but don't think for a minute its due to a talent deficit. As matter of fact, they could be argued to be as talented as any other team in the region.

Darkhorse

Jefferson

Jefferson has a ton of experience and talented athletes coming back. However the question of depth and size in the middle is a question. The Cougars will make a push with pressure defense and transition offense to neutralize opponents and will have a chance if their defense plays well.

Regional Roundup

The two region split between AAAA schools presents a bigger challenge than what's on paper per se. While I think the best four teams will advance with so may teams in each region it will always seem that a team or two got shorted opportunity.

Tough rebuilding year for Martinsburg as they try to replace all five starters from last year.

Early matchups in this region have already happened with Morgantown defeating Wheeling Park by 25 and Washington taking down Preston in a convincing manner.
