Many athletes are now exploring the JUCO pathway, and with the D1 scene becoming increasingly crowded due to the transfer portal, Division II, III, and NAIA programs are becoming more proactive. They are actively targeting talented high school players, particularly those who can contribute immediately.

Player 1: [player_tooltip player_id='1278437' first='Tyler' last='Mortensen'] (Corner Canyon)

Mortensen possesses exceptional athletic talent, currently showcasing his burgeoning potential. Standing around 6'4 "or 6'5", he is projected to add more height, enhancing his versatility at the collegiate level. Although he currently plays the 3 and 2 positions in high school, he is poised to become a strong 3-guard in college. JUCO programs seeking promising players should seriously consider offering him, as he has the potential to significantly impact their program. His two-way capabilities, allowing him to defend positions 1-3, make him a valuable asset. He is currently averaging 14 PPG and displaying impressive statistical performance.

Player 2: [player_tooltip player_id='2732870' first='Lincoln' last='Smith'] (Bountiful)

Smith brings a dynamic skillset to the court, possessing good length at 6'3" that translates well to the next level. He demonstrates strength, allowing him to effectively post up and maintain balance through pivots. His impressive touch and lift make him a dangerous mid-range shooter. Early in the season, he has shown an ability to score from beyond the arc, and he can also drive to the basket when defended closely. His counters are particularly noteworthy. Smith has the potential to be a valuable asset for any NWAC program.

He is an athletic and talented basketball player who is on track to reach the 1,000-point milestone in his career. While it might seem like an athlete like Brown would try to take over the game and force things, that is not the case. Brown plays the game the right way, effectively grabbing rebounds and dishing out assists. He has the potential to be a valuable asset for any small-college program.

First impressed by Crane during his freshman year, when he displayed a mature style of play. Now, as a senior, he remains a consistent performer. Crane is an athletic player who can dribble effectively and possesses excellent shooting ability. Standing at 6'7", he is a valuable wing player, a sought-after asset at the collegiate level. He will bring poise, strength, and two-way playing ability to the next level. He is definitely a prospect worth watching.
