Southern Arizona 4A Kino Preview

This preview will include key return players for these teams and newcomers who will have breakout seasons. Below are the teams in the 4A Kino Region. He had a great showing at Section 7 where he gained interest from many coaches. Hicks is a high percentage three level scoring threat. Handles the ball very well. High impact player who showed he can take over the game at any moment. Strong showing at Section 7 where he helped lead the Lancers as the champions of their bracket. Tough physical defender who's extremely tough to get by. Vocal leader on the court. High level scorer from mid range and beyond the arc. Strong presence in the paint both offensively and defensively. Clears space and rebounds easily. Scores second chance points easily through contact. Strong vocal leader on and off the court. Llamas will eclipse the 1500 points mark and if he averages his 21 ppg from last season will hit the 2000 mark. Llamas is a shifty guard with an extremely quick step. Blows by his opponents and can score at will. Can shoot the ball at a high percentage from well beyond the arc. NBA range is nothing new to him. One of the more electric player to watch. Llamas has won a region player of the year award in his last three high school seasons. He has shown to be one of the top three point shooters in the 2028 class. His overall game continues to develop rapidly. One of the better two way guards in Southern Arizona. Teasley made himself known last year as a freshman but I expect him to breakout this season. Expect high percentage shooting and relentless full court defense. A skilled shot blocker and rebounder. Yarmolovich finishes well above the rim and can knock down the three ball consistently. He has a strong presence in the paint and can effectively guard 1-5 if needed. Plays very well in the pick and roll. Anderson is a sharpshooter from deep. He knocked down 55 three pointers last season and is well on pace for 1000+ career points after putting up 225 his freshman year. Porter plays his pace, doesn't get rattled and sees the court at a high level. Very quick first step, drives the lane and can score or find the open man. Plays very unselfish and makes the right play. He uses his long wingspan to make it difficult for his opponents to pass and score. Handles the ball nicely and works the pick and roll well with his forwards. Works great in transition and makes the right play. Collins has a nice mid range game.
