My continued saga of players in The New England Basketball League that deserve recognition after performances that sky rocketed their stock this past weekend. In Part II, we continue with players who are underrated and over looked players who can help D1/D2 coaches and teams in college from the NEBL. These players are on the rise and you should get to know them before its too late!

You can find Part I https://prephoops.com/2025/11/nebl-opening-weekend-stock-risers/

Crafty player, high IQ and is a quiet scorer. As the point guard, he can stretch the floor from deep, make efficient passes leading to a handful of assists in a game with minimal turnovers. His defense is above average even with a lean lanky frame but deceptively strong. He baits the opponents into fouls which create offensive opportunities or extra possessions for his team. Definitely will get D1 offers or would have a special D2 career in college.

A twitchy player for sure who changes directions ferociously. Point guard who can score and has great dribble drive penetration with his anticipation for holes that open up. Cleaned up the turnovers in his 2nd game ever in the NEBL, which I predict will be the norm. He played with passion this weekend and intent. Works very hard on the defense side of the ball causing disruption speeding on the dribbler. His college offers are of D1 level.

A versatile combo guard that has D1 strength/balance to finish through contact. A good swagger about him that he controls even with all his accolades. A scorer mainly inside the perimeter but can stretch the floor. A fantastic dribble drive penetration to his game that creates havoc on the defense that forces switches, leaving shooters open. Lateral quickness that creates turnovers and hurries the offensive player up. This kid has 20 plus D1 programs that have interest or offered him a spot on their roster but that will balloon up to 50 plus schools by end of his senior campaign.

A true shooter that is capable of taking his player off the bounce. He has two full seasons left and should be a nice D1 shooter for someone in college. He comes from a long line of well coached athletes at Putnam so his IQ will be more advanced than some high school programs. He is a long, lean athlete with good ball pressure on the defensive side of the ball especially with his 6'5” wingspan. Has great hands when receiving the ball making it easier to get his shots up.

A high motor relentlessly attacking the paint. A true point guard who can stretch the floor knocking it down from deep. A good rebounder for his size against players who have the height/strength of D1 college players in the NEBL. In game 1 he had 6 assists and a couple steals adding to his efficiency at finishing at the rim or near the paint. Has D1 interest and most likely will continue to grow his stock throughout the year and picking up a few more D1 offers.

A very improved player who has D1 offers and interests only to add to that before end of his junior season now at Cushing. A stronger athlete compared to last year, who is difficult to knock off his spots. His scoring efficiency has improved tremendously around the higher percentage shots. I enjoyed watching his footwork become more fluid over the last couple of years. Again another player going D1 but added him to this article because of the gigantic leap he has made from two years ago.
