* Brayden Hazelbaker Brayden Hazelbaker 6'0" | PG/SG Knoxville Webb | 2026 State TN transferred to Knoxville Webb from Maryville High for his final high school season. Knox Webb won the State Tournament in the spring and he hopes to win his first state championship this spring as a senior.

Typically, all sophomores and juniors return for their senior seasons with the same basketball team, but a sprinkling of hoopers elect to transfer teams or states.

Class of 2026 brothers Jonathan Sanderson Jonathan Sanderson 6'2" | PG La Lumiere | 2026 #72 Nation IN and Gan Erdene Solongo Gan Erdene Solongo 7'0" | C La Lumiere | 2026 #106 Nation IN transferred to La Lumiere School (IN) from Ensworth. Though they played just a single year in Tennessee, that of 2024-2025, the pair left a large impact. Sanderson even earned Mr. Basketball-Finalist in his short time here. Neither are playing this season in Tennessee.

Trey Thompson did just about everything he could in three years of high school basketball. Instead of returning and re-proving his greatness Trey accepted a scholarship offer from the University of Iowa to enroll as a member of the Class of 2025. He was required to graduate a year early instead with his Class of 2026.

State Champion and Mr. Basketball Fred Smith Jr Fred Smith Jr 6'6" | SF Briarcrest Christian | 2026 State #50 Nation TN . was nearly out of the door at Briarcrest Christian. Eventually, he and his father chose to finalize his high school run with Head Coach John Harrington.

Dylan Jones Dylan Jones 6'5" | SG Bartlett | 2027 State #39 Nation TN nearly joined this list as he elected to help open Tennessee Collegiate Academy in Millington, Tennessee. Weeks after the school year began Dylan hopped back to his sophomore year home of Bartlett High. Look for Dylan to contend for Mr. Basketball in this his junior year.

While only a couple or a few dudes are back from each All-State team, it might still be a fun exercise to predict which will repeat as members.

Cutter Sisk Cutter Sisk 6'8" | PF Beech | 2026 State TN 's trajectory is as high as anybody in the state. June witnessed the breakout at BCAT Hoopfest where nearly 8 D1 teams offered on Saturday morning. Take Sisk to capture 4A Mr. Basketball. Sisk began his senior year ranked #10.

You can't beat Ty Cobb Ty Cobb 6'2" | PG Upperman | 2027 State #121 Nation TN (Upperman) with a better Mr. Basketball-Candidate in 3A.

Christopher Washington Jr. Christopher Washington Jr. 6'9" | SF Providence Christian | 2026 State #55 Nation TN is going to put up stats, stats, stats. Unfortunately, for Washington Jr. his reigning State Champion PCA Lions lost their first two games. They appear to have taken a dip from last season. Washington Jr. earned #1 overall ranking and will fight hard to maintain it.
