His Red Hawks are quite thin in talent this season though. Goggins will be leaned upon heavily. Wilson Central's Wildcats have more players capable of impacting a high school basketball game, but nobody of Goggins' caliber.

Top Wildcat players include: [player_tooltip player_id='2716674' first='Ethan' last='Ragland'], [player_tooltip player_id='2756852' first='Ross' last='Perlick'], [player_tooltip player_id='2930953' first='Grafton' last='Graves'].

Grafton provided a unique blend of rebounding and handles. The junior combo forward wiggled a bit when handling the pill out high and looks the part of a point forward in the right scenarios. Graves must play under the rim defensively, as WCHS trots out a modestly tall team for 4A. Do not mistake Graves' placement on that end as a limitation on the offensive end though. - PrepHoopsTN 11/23/25

Who guards Goggins? Probably [player_tooltip player_id='2930953' first='Grafton' last='Graves'] because [player_tooltip player_id='2756852' first='Ross' last='Perlick'], though tall, lacks the strength to keep Sean out of the lane.

Blackman (1-0) / Lipscomb Academy

The Mustangs of Lipscomb Academy start some stellar athletes. [player_tooltip player_id='1572632' first='Cam' last='Blivens'] will fight for Mr. Basketball and intends to play football for Columbia University next fall, where he signed this month. A tremendous student, a tremendous athlete.

Blackman is loaded once again

Loretto / Munford

State Champions Loretto graduated some exceptional talent in the spring, including the TSSAA State Tournament MVP Kasen Buie. That team was 35-0. Two starters did return.

[player_tooltip player_id='2638983' first='Mason' last='Tidwell'] is fully healthy and hit a buzzer-beater to knock off Smith County late last week.

Munford graduated their own superstar...JaDyn Lee. Scoring guard [player_tooltip player_id='2694758' first='Clinton' last='Johnson'] will defray that loss after he transferred in from Brighton's Cardinals. Clinton managed eight points and seven rebounds in a 51-44 loss to Ripley Friday.

[player_tooltip player_id='2781519' first='Josiah' last='Hawkins'] (Munford) is a nice player. You'll hear about him a lot this year on PrepHoops.com/Tennessee.

Riverdale (1-2) / Columbia Academy

Riverdale's [player_tooltip player_id='2274016' first='Waymon' last='West'] will play college basketball somewhere thanks to his ability score in bunches.

Oak Ridge / Siegel

Rising prospect [player_tooltip player_id='2817446' first='Charlie' last='Taubenheim'] (Oak Ridge) headlines this 4A clash. Though the Wildcats leaned upon senior stars in March Charlie clearly displayed a tantalizing combination of size and skill. College prospects caught on this summer and the wing earned Maryville (TN) and Milligan offers.

Cookeville / Brentwood

Breakout players for Cookeville this year will be [player_tooltip player_id='2575799' first='Walker' last='Redding'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2508422' first='Bo' last='Maxwell'].

Brentwood is middle Tennessee's best shot at a TSSAA 4A State Championship this coming March and they are probably only second to Bartlett as the second-favorite statewide.

Many players make Brentwood go. [player_tooltip player_id='2376260' first='Davis' last='Cochran'] is the star, but [player_tooltip player_id='1923548' first='Jackson' last='McCutcheon'] shoots like a pro and [player_tooltip player_id='1911257' first='Hudson' last='McKnight'] defends at an elite high school level.
