Here are quick observations from the event:

Huggins is a man child

Team Thad 16U has its guy in Joshua Huggins. The 6-foot-6 forward‘s dominance was on full display in the team's win over Next Page Force. Huggins scored or got fouled at the rim each time he got downhill. He showed the ability to breakdown his man and get to his spots. Huggins made claim that he's one of the best players in the 2028 class.

Duke can only get better

TJ Duke can only get better playing on NIKE EYBL. His reps at point guard this past season at Providence Christian Academy should have him prepared to compete on the best shoe circuit. Duke's communication on both ends of the floor was evident. He made 2 3s from the corner late in the second half to help his team stay in front. Duke is playing with confidence. He should be just fine.

Dillard is an intriguing prospect

Israel Dillard has a chance to be a solid player. He has good size at 6-3. Dillard plays hard. He's a grimy defender. Dillard is going to attack the rim and battle for rebounds. There are things to like about Dillard. This spring and summer will be very important for his growth.

Frison is fearless

Team Thad 17U has its leader in Justin Frison. Frison is a fearless competitor that's going to come at you on every possession. He's a 3-level scorer. Frison can knock down the 3, knock down the midrange jumper, and finish at the rim. In a win over Game Elite 3SSB, the defense mainly keyed in on Frison. It didn't matter. Tennessee's No. 1 ranked point guard was still able to get to his spots and score.

Willliams is smooth

Alabama Fusion has its point guard in Braylon Williams. In a win over Game Elite 3SSB, Williams was his usual self. He took quality shots, played with good pace, and made timely shots when the team needed them. Williams made 2 3s late in the second half when his team was trailing. He, then, converted on a floater to get the team within 2. Williams plays winning basketball. He knows how to win.
