High School Spotlight: Bloomfield Cardinals

The season is still a few weeks away, but it is never too early to look ahead at the high school season. We will be taking a look at some quick hitters, the top player(s), a potential breakout player, other roster members, and more for the upcoming season. For today's spotlight, we take a look at the&nbsp;Bloomfield Cardinals</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Quick Hitters</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:list --> <ul class="wp-block-list"><!-- wp:list-item --> <li>Went 17-8 last season.</li> <!-- /wp:list-item --></ul> <!-- /wp:list --> <!-- wp:list --> <ul class="wp-block-list"><!-- wp:list-item --> <li>Lost to Clay City in Sectionals. </li> <!-- /wp:list-item --></ul> <!-- /wp:list --> <!-- wp:list --> <ul class="wp-block-list"><!-- wp:list-item --> <li>Head Coach Nate O'Neall returns for his 2nd year as head coach. He is&nbsp;65-85<strong>&nbsp;</strong>as a head coach.</li> <!-- /wp:list-item --></ul> <!-- /wp:list --> <!-- wp:list --> <ul class="wp-block-list"><!-- wp:list-item --> <li>Will be one of the favorites for the Class 1A State Championship this season. </li> <!-- /wp:list-item --></ul> <!-- /wp:list --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Top Player: [player_tooltip player_id='1560962' first='Blake' last='Neill']<a href="https://prephoops.com/player/jahari-miller/"></a></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Arguably the best player in all of Class 1A makes his returns for last go around with the Bloomfield Cardinals and is looking to do some big things this season. Neill returns as the leading scorer for Bloomfield once again and this time, he returns as an Indiana Junior All-Star, as well. At 6'6, Neill is an extremely balanced player being able to score in all areas of the floor and with his size, he has a major advantage at the Class 1A level.
