<p>The Fortune Early Showcase was played on Saturday November 22, at Fortune Early College High School in Elk Grove, CA. An early season event featuring 10 teams from the Sacramento Area. PH NorCal was in the gym for the 5 game set. We saw early season prospects and teams in an competitive environment. Here are some of the standouts from the losing team. Win or lose, their play on the court is what got our attention.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='2060090' first='Jayden' last='Akuva']: He's a quality guard from the Stockton area, good handles, and moves to create his shot opportunities. He has speed, and ability to get by defenders, attack and finish with the inside hand or a Euro step. He's aggressive looking for his shots, he dropped a couple of mid-range jumpers early. He attacks in transition. He hit a 3ptr, had 11 points at the half, finished with 15pts. He has tenacity and footspeed to defend.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='2137372' first='Josiah' last='Johnson']: A fast guard with quality handles, plenty of moves to get his shots off. He's an aggressive lefty looking for his shot opportunities. He's determined to get to the basket, using speed, crossovers, and change of direction. He handles ball pressure, gets out of traps, sometimes splitting defenders. He can handling contact, will challenge blockers in the paint. He's got a quick pull-up, 3-point range. He gives good effort on the court. He's still sharpening his overall point guard skills.</p>

<p><strong>Alfred Wilkins </strong>: He played well coming off the bench, he gave the team a lift with his play throughout the game. A fast guard with slick handles, change of direction. He's aggressive looking for his shots opportunities, attacking often, taking the hits. He'll pull up for 3's. He handles ball pressure, and traps, can split defenses going up court. He's got quick hands and feet, can generate steals, and harass ball handlers. He scored 14pts.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='2282466' first='Aeron' last='Wallace']: He makes his return after a brief stint at Modesto Christian. He's a good basketball player wherever he plays. He has the tools to be a big contributor. He's a facilitator, has vision, and willing to involve others. His 3-point shooting is improving. Standing around 6'4 he'll contribute on both ends of the court. He rebounds.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='2673653' first='Zach' last='Villanueva']: He's a crafty guard that can score, and run the teams offense. With this teams lack of size, it's pretty much attack when the opportunity presents itself. He has the handles, speed and moves to attack defenders, get into the paint for floaters, paint jumpers. He can score from different angles. He scored 18pts. Dropped a couple of 3's. He has good footspeed to stay in front of ball handlers.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='2673654' first='Edmund' last='Michalski']: He's a solid body combo guard, plays at a good pace. He plays within the flow, knowing he'll get his shot opportunities. He was the teams second leading scorer last season at 17ppg. He's a strong guard can create his shots, mid-range jumpers off the dribble, hard drives to the basket. He has range, and the green light to pull-up for 3's, at any time.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='2059718' first='Jaeden' last='Goodman']: The long active forward looks ready for a breakout season. He was active on both ends of the court. He's improved his offensive output, had strong finishes around the basket. He's using dribbles, and long strides on balance to get close to the rim, he might dunk it with his hops, and long reach. He's an active shot blocker, goes after rebounds. He's playing and running the court hard. 17pts, multiple rebounds, and blocks.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='2965467' first='Kyier' last='Fielding']: A fast point guard, with quickness and quality handles. He can get by defenders, attacks the basket fearlessly at 5'9. He's probably a pass first point guard with good court vision. He sees the court, pushes hard and fast in transition. He has quick hands, and feet to harass ball handlers bringing the ball up court.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='2770815' first='Jeston' last='Barnett']: He's an improved player since the last time we saw him. He's long, looks stronger, he's playing hard with confidence. He was active in the paint, going up high and strong around the basket for offensive rebounds, and tap ins. He powered up off two feet, after gathering himself. He used a couple of dribbles along the baseline, hit the paint jumper. He played good defense in the post, made good runs up court.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2770819' first='Jabril' last='Lewis Muhammad']</strong> : He's a versatile prospect. He contributes on both sides of the ball. His long arms, and footspeed allows him to defend multiple positions. He has length, goes up high for rebounds, he'll go get a block. He looks to have polished up his offensive skill set. He had good form on the 3-point shot, was aggressive going to the basket in transition, and along the perimeter. He's a ball mover.</p>
