Irwin impressed with his 20pt performance, but his game is much more than scoring. Irwin is a college level prospect. He is big, strong, athletic and skilled. He can shoot the ball from any spot on the court, and he is a bully around the rim. His game is brutish, but polished. He is elite in all aspects of the game, and the kid is a dawg. Sometimes you walking in the gym and see a kid that has it all, and that is Mr. Irwin.

Walker is set to have a big season and based on his play there is a lot to be excited about. Walker has an understanding of the game beyond his classification. He is a three level scorer with a long frame and elite level size. He scored 18 points, in the win and did it all in the flow of the game. He knocked down a three pointer, but did all of his other work in the lane. He uses the mid range and floaters to score, and also made his way to the line by drawing fouls. Walker looked special in his first Varsity game of the season.

Manning is the best PG in the state and his strength lies in the details of his game. He is a high IQ Guard with the ability to score the ball, but the gift of facilitating. He is a master with the ball in his hands, and he uses his team mates for their strengths. He is a big time play maker that is a sure nightmare for opposing coaches. He is a hybrid Rondo/CP3 skilled guard and that can beat you on or off the ball. Curtis will be a top team in the state because of their point guard.

Martin scored at will in this game, but the mark of a great team is not in the individual scoring performances. Martin picked his spots to score, defended at a high level and carried the teams energy from start to finish. Martin constantly pressured the defense opening up opportunities for his team mates, while taking advantage of offensive mismatches. He scored 13 points in the win and managed the game with his efficiency. Martin is a top player in his class for this reason, and he will surely earn an opportunity to compete at the next level.

Shepherd scored 11 points in the balanced attack vs Parkview and much like his team mates, picked his spots to score. He is a skilled guard with next level potential. His role in the system is to facilitate and finish. He is another three level scorer on this efficient John Curtis roster. He plays a controlled game with poise and makes the most of scoring opportunities, but works on defense and rebounds at a high level.
