6A Pre-Season Region 3 Watch List

Region 3 is going to be tough, as always, especially with Corner Canyon back in it. Here is a list of players that you need to have on your watch list.    Hucks had a solid junior year, averaging 5 points per game (PPG), 3 rebounds per game (RPG), and 1 assist per game (APG). Although those numbers aren't flashy, they are solid for a school like American Fork, which emphasizes ball movement. Expect Hucks to step up his game this upcoming season. He should improve his rebounding and find more opportunities to dish out assists.     [player_tooltip player_id='2208570' first='Manase' last='Brown'] is somewhat under the radar as a basketball player, primarily due to his exceptional football skills. However, he possesses the potential to excel at the collegiate level if the right university presents the proper opportunity. Brown is an athletic player, demonstrating speed and strength while moving up and down the court. His vertical leaping ability allows him to contest shots, and he can finish above the rim and through contact on offense. Brown is a MUST-Watch player.     [player_tooltip player_id='1724367' first='Saxon' last='Young']'s arrival at Lone Peak is a significant boost, as he brings a wealth of skills that are perfectly suited for their dynamic team. Known for his agility and knack for dismantling defenses, Young's presence as a primary ball-handler not only creates scoring opportunities for himself but also opens up the court for his teammates. His exceptional court vision further enhances his potential, positioning him as a key player poised for a breakout season.     [player_tooltip player_id='2024649' first='Avery' last='Tukarawa Howe'] is poised to make a significant impact this upcoming season. Possessing good length and an inside-outside game, he is expected to display a more aggressive style of play than ever before. If he consistently executes his aggressive approach and effectively utilizes both his inside and outside skills when needed, Howe will not only add valuable length to the Lehi team but also prove to be a versatile player.     [player_tooltip player_id='2540005' first='Joel' last='Gardner'] has really caught my attention at The Utah Top 50, and I hope he has caught the attention of coaches at the next level. He is a BBIQ player out there, and he does not need the ball in his hands all the time. He does a good job of off-the-ball spacing, attacking, and shooting. He should be close to being a 15 PPG scorer, the way he plays and how fast he can get going.
