The upcoming high school basketball season is upon us in the Garden State as tryouts started this week. The 2026 class is looking to make its mark on the hardwood this season, especially on the perimeter. Here are the 2026 unranked wing prospects to track.

[player_tooltip player_id='1875481' first='Isaiah' last='Smith'], 6'6 SF Cliffside Park

Smith made his impact felt during the Garden State Expo and is looking to carry his form over into the winter. The 6'6 wing explodes off the floor for dunks and can also score through contact. Smith has a nice release on his jumper and sets his feet before he shoots. He has the length to impact the game on the defensive end and is a strong rebounder. Smith is a skilled wing prospect who should fill up the stat sheet at both ends of the floor this winter.

[player_tooltip player_id='2988435' first='Cameron' last='Brown'], 6'5 SG Riverside

Brown has the ability to play either spot on the perimeter, which makes him an intriguing prospect to track this season. The 6'5 wing has a good first step, which he uses to get to his spot on the floor and finishes nicely around the rim. Brown has a good release on his jumper and rarely forces jumpers in the half court. He has the athleticism to defend multiple positions on the floor and fights for rebounds on both ends of the floor. Brown is a lanky wing prospect whose ability to make plays at both ends of the floor gives him the ability to raise his stock over the next couple of months.

[player_tooltip player_id='2988460' first='Ryan' last='Diaz'], 6'1 SG Pascack Valley

Diaz will get more touches on the offensive end, which will help his game throughout the 2025-26 season. The 6'1 guard has a clean shooting stroke as he wastes little motion and can get hot from distance in a hurry. Diaz moves well without the ball in his hands, freeing himself for open jumpers and layups in the half court. He slides his feet on the defensive end and is an underrated passer. Diaz is a sharpshooting guard prospect who should torch the nets from distance during the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2972905' first='Jessiah' last='Stephenson'], 6'4 SF Ewing

Stephenson has the ability to play either forward spot, which will help his development in a big way. The 6'4 wing attacks the basket with a purpose as he finishes strong around the rim and can draw contact in the paint. Stephenson uses his size to see over his defender and rarely forces jumpers in the half court. He has the length to impact the game on the defensive end and works hard for rebounds on both ends of the floor. Stephenson's ability to control the paint at both ends of the floor will help his stock throughout the course of the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2973570' first='Ayden' last='Booker'], 6'4 SF Paterson Kennedy

Booker has shown the ability to play more in the paint, but will get the opportunity to play on the perimeter as well. The 6'4 wing uses his handle to get to his spot on the floor and can draw contact in the paint. Booker uses his body to get position in the paint and is able to pass out of the post. He works hard on defense and is an underrated rebounder. Booker is a physical forward prospect who should impact the game at both ends of the floor throughout the course of the season.

The upcoming high school basketball season is upon us in the Garden State as tryouts started this week. The 2026 class is looking to make its mark on the hardwood this season, especially on the perimeter. Here are the 2026 unranked wing prospects to track.
