It is time for our annual Top 50 Prospects Regardless of Class series. We have been doing this since the early years of PHI and it allows us to combine the sophomore, junior, and senior rankings to get an overall view of the talent in the state. Remember these are PROSPECT RANKINGS not necessarily what they will do this high school season. It is a long-term look! Here are prospects #21-#25!

#21 [player_tooltip player_id='2125642' first='Jarrel' last='Brown'] (Normal Community – 2027)

Last Year's Ranking: #34

Brown is a small forward from central Illinois that is a big time spot up shooter. That is how he made his name, but as he is going into his junior year his game is quickly expanding. High level athlete that gets to the rack especially in transition. At The EXPO we were really intrigued with the growth of his passing. Secondary playmaker that was racking up the dimes!

#22 [player_tooltip player_id='2323622' first='Damari' last='Stephens'] (Kenwood – 2027)

Last Year's Ranking: #41

Stephens is the guy now at Kenwood. With the graduation and departure of their other stars Stephens is the go to player. Strong and physical wing that can bully his way downhill, but don't discount his skill level! He handles it well and is becoming a much more consistent shooter. Rebounds and has some passing flair.

#23 [player_tooltip player_id='2532003' first='Joey' last='Jakstys'] (Yorkville – 2028)

Last Year's Ranking: NR

Jakstys is one of two Yorkville 2028s on this list. He is an athletic slashing forward that can really handle and win on drives to the rim and play above the hoop in transition. The combination of size, skill, and athleticism are super intriguing with this young forward!

#24 [player_tooltip player_id='1552625' first='EJ' last='Hazelett'] (Kankakee – 2026)

Last Year's Ranking: NR

Hazelett transferred into Kankakee after his dad became the football coach. Hazelett is committed to Indiana State and has been a name on our radar for a while running with Indy Heat. Lefty four that can stretch a little with his shooting along with using his bounce around the hoop to finish, defend, and board.

#25 [player_tooltip player_id='2391672' first='Jeffrey' last='Hassan'] (Kaneland – 2027)

Last Year's Ranking: #20

Hassan is the prototype of the new age five man! He protects the rim on the defensive end as well as anyone in the 2027 class. Shot blocker that can do it straight up or from weakside. Also brings switchability to the table on the defensive end. Offensively he is a roll threat to the basket, rim runner, and finisher out of the dunker spot.
