6. Cincinnati Deer Park

Maybe the biggest unknown of this entire list, Deer Park is no stranger to massive turnarounds. After going 10-12 in 2016-17, Deer Park went unbeaten and won the state championship in 2017-18. I'm not projecting an unbeaten season after a 7-15 record a year ago but if Deer Park made a deep playoff run and approached 20 wins this winter, I wouldn't bat an eye thanks to talented pieces like Sefa Sackey on the roster. This is a team I could see being in the top 3 at the end of the season, there's so much potential for this group!

7. Spencerville

My preseason number one team last year, Spencerville had a strong regular season but were upset by Coldwater in the district semifinal in the toughest district in the state from Division VI last season. Carder Orr is graduated but the Sensabaugh brothers are back as Will and Owen look to lead the Bearcats to a much deeper run than they were able to make a year ago.

8. Patrick Henry

Maybe the most talented player in all of Division VI is [player_tooltip player_id='2611027' first='Reid' last='Creager'] as his offensive talent allows him to take over games from long distance. With range that extends well beyond the high school 3-point line, Creager should scorch the nets this winter and start to approach his older brother's boys school scoring record that was just set last winter.

9. Smithville

Coming up just short in the northeast regional a season ago, Smithville has the talent to make another deep run as Corey Kaufmann has built one of the top small town programs in the northeast district. Jax Riggenbach is a key returner to know as the Smithies get a nice mix of tough conference and non-conference opponents to prepare them for the postseason.

10. Monroe Central

The state champions last season graduate a tremendous senior class that went out on top but star Tucker Howell's little brother Cooper is ready to lead the team to another deep run. Don't sleep on the Seminoles even with their 2025 core graduated!
