Queen City Clash - 2027 Pure Hoopers (Part 2)

Prep Hoops covered the Queen City Clash April 24-26 at the Queen City Sportsplex in Cincinnati, Ohio!! There were a number of outstanding performances from all the classes during this past weekend's event!! Today, let's look at our second set of standout players from the class of 2027!!    Stanton is a standout combo guard who can impact the game both as a passer and a scorer. He is elite as a passer, getting the ball where it needs to be on time to his teammates. As a scorer, he possesses a pure shooting stroke from deep and holds strong shot mechanics on his shot. He's a knockdown from distance! He can make threes from all over the court with his quick trigger release and use of his height making his shot nearly unblockable. I loved the intangibles that he displays as the primary ball handler for the Kentucky Defenders 17U. A true marksman! Cole Stanton earned the label of top performer with both his shooting and passing in Cincinnati!     Hoyt is a gamechanger on the basketball floor! His ability to shoot the three and convert from behind the arc at a high clip makes him a supreme weapon for his team. In the game I watched, he lead the team in scoring hitting a boat load of three-pointers from all areas of the court. Lethal shooting stroke! Lucas Hoyt has the confidence to take and make difficult contested jumpers even with a hand in his face! Hoyt provides his team great energy and leadership as the primary scorer. Berwick is lethal attacking off the dribble and finishing around the basket despite the contact. He has a fluid and athletic nature to his game that makes him very intriguing to watch! Berwick has outstanding lateral movement for his position and a profound skillset to create for himself! Loved his high energy and motor that he plays the game with! Being 6'5" really allows him to get his shot off over the defense virtually making it unblockable! A crafty forward with all the right tools to make a difference on the court. I was greatly impressed with the performance that he provided [program_tooltip program_id='2673282' first='Ohio' last='Basketball Club'] (OBC) throughout the weekend!     Fogg is a true lethal and dangerous shooter who brings it on the offensive end of the floor! He is exceptional as a catch and shoot option both in the halfcourt and in transition. Really loved his shot hungry mentality! Some shooters just know they have the touch and Luke Fogg certainly has it! He possesses strong shot mechanics and a pure stroke making himself a true weapon on the offensive end. He also uses his size and length well to cause havoc and compete hard at the defensive end of the floor. He displays his unique athletic build with his explosive quick twitch and bounce. He fully displayed his physical attributes on both ends of the floor for Pro Skills Basketball Indiana (PSB) throughout the weekend. Mason Trammell is able to convert difficult baskets through any form of contact that he faces. An outstanding finisher in the paint. He knows how to create for himself and finish with flair! I loved his energy and grit that was on full display throughout the three day event!     Malaski is special! He immediately draws your attention and turns heads with his size! He is a physical forward who has a really solid broad build for his position. Great hands and ability to catch the ball and attack the defense with either the midrange or post finish. He buys in and competes with heart on the defensive end of the floor using his size and frame to make huge impacts. Malaski is a defensive stopper! One of the most intriguing forwards I watched all weekend who really stood out with his physicality and force that he plays the game with. Quick trigger from three! He is a great at planting his feet and getting his shoulders squared up for his shot. Riethman hit multiple three pointers throughout the afternoon showing that he can be a reliable scoring presence for Pro Skills Basketball - Indianapolis (PSB). Loved his high motor and chemistry that he displayed with his teammates throughout the whole weekend. College coaches should be adding Andrew Riethman to their recruiting class of 2027 after his performance he had on both ends!
