This spotlight shines on the NLBA 17U, a talented and versatile group featuring standouts and athletes from both Minnesota and North Dakota.

What made this crew stand out wasn't just their success, but how they did it — competing with toughness, chemistry, and confidence well beyond their years. With multiple 2027 players who played up at the 17U level, NLBA proved it can develop and showcase talent ready to rise and perform on the PH Circuit.

Leading the way for this talented NLBA 17U group was head coach Brandon Bradford, a former college basketball player with years of experience coaching hoops at various levels. Bradford brings a unique blend of passion, knowledge, and authenticity to the sidelines — the kind of coach who not only teaches the game but inspires his players to love it as much as he does. His leadership and energy set the tone for his team, helping shape NLBA into a competitive squad on the PH Circuit.

It's been a big year for [player_tooltip player_id='2140557' first='Austin' last='Dryburgh'] — and not just on the gridiron. The 6'7” standout has made waves as the Spuds reserve quarterback this fall, but when it comes to hoops, he was every bit as exciting in club ball with NLBA. Dryburgh turned heads, where his mix of length, athleticism, and skill made him one of the program's most versatile pieces. Dryburgh is the kind of player who can impact the game from anywhere on the floor. He showed comfort operating on the wing, the ability to step out and hit the three-ball with consistency, and enough physicality to battle inside and produce. His connection with [player_tooltip player_id='2451500' first='David' last='Mack'] gave NLBA a lethal one-two punch — the two fed off each other beautifully in the pick-and-roll, with Dryburgh reading defenses well and finishing plays with power and finesse.

Has added an inch and is up to 6'0". When it comes to pure athleticism and competitive fire, [player_tooltip player_id='2451500' first='David' last='Mack'] stands out as one of the premier multisport athletes in the region. A complete dude on the football field, Mack is widely regarded as the #1-ranked wide receiver in Minnesota and a high-level football recruit — but don't overlook what he brings to the hardwood. Mack had a phenomenal club season with NLBA, showcasing the same explosiveness, confidence, and competitive edge that make him elite in any sport. His athleticism and change of speeds keep defenders guessing, while his playmaking and high-level IQ make everyone around him better. He plays with swagger and toughness — both mentally and physically — and brings a fearless mentality every time he steps on the floor. Having been part of NLBA since 5th or 6th grade, Mack's growth within the program has been impressive to watch. Whether he's attacking the rim, creating off the dribble, hitting outside shots, or making the right read in transition, he plays the game the right way. No matter which path he ultimately chooses — football or basketball — the future is undeniably bright for this special athlete from Moorhead.

A streaky scorer, he can create off the bounce, knock down deep shots, and stretch defenses to the volleyball line. Lopez thrives alongside [player_tooltip player_id='2451500' first='David' last='Mack'], a duo that dates back to 6th grade with NLBA. This winter, it will be interesting to see how Lopez carves out his role with the Spuds. His energy, scrappiness, and shooting touch make him an intriguing role player.

[player_tooltip player_id='2842647' first='Jack' last='Sekely'] has a quality club season with NLBA, now standing 6'5”. He shot it hot with his soft touch and range. Long and lanky, Sekely boasts a high-arcing, shot that makes him deadly from deep and in catch-and-shoot situations. His ability to stretch defenses and knock down open looks consistently has established him as a top-tier shooter in the NLBA program. With his shooting prowess and improved size, Sekely is poised for a breakout high school season with the Greyhounds, where he should be a key offensive weapon and a matchup problem for any opponent.

[player_tooltip player_id='1541563' first='Sean' last='Le'Shoure'] had a solid club season with NLBA, making plays as a quick, scrappy guard who hoops with energy and athleticism.
